Thanks for that jo and costa, my GP is brilliant to be honest as I do have a lot of health problems .. I think the GP hasn't pressured me because of the problems I have. She also knows I live alone and the mobility issues I have so I think she has just let me off! I don't really like asking for patches on prescription because it is self inflicted and I feel that I should deal with it myself.

As for the clinic thing ... I'm not sure ... do you need to go and see them often?? I don't get out of the house much - once a week if that!

When you say jo that they would ask how much I smoke and how much ... that's easy - every waking moment :rotfl::rotfl:

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It really was the first thing that came into my head. If I'd have known it would stick I would have picked something more catchy :D

Tobruk - couldn't you lay a patch on your mattress sticky side up in the hope that you roll on to it in the night? :D:D;)

    Happy Friday everyone!

Tobruk, don't worry bout getting the patches on prescription, at the end of the day it's a saving for the NHS as they have to pay out so much for smokers that get ill through smoking! Anyway, if it's offered it's there for a purpose so go for it!

TNG, lol at rolling on the patch during the night :rotfl:

IDA, 12 weeks! Blimey, have you noticed anything weird over the last 3 months??? Make sure you stick the scan pic up, I love getting broody ;)

Hey, when I started with the patches in August (my first attempt) my head felt funny just with just the one patch on (even more funny than normal!) but imagine if I woke up in the morning with 3 or 4 stuck to me ... I probably wouldn't get up at all :rotfl:

It might be worth going a step down to the lower patch, same thing happened to me a few years ago, I was smoking 40 a day so went on the strongest patch but I hallucinated and nearly fainted after a couple of days. Step 2 was fine though :)

Well I noticed I was putting on weight around the middle :p but thought that was cause of the quit :o ! The lighter visits from Fred I had begun to wonder if I was having an early menapause :rotfl: :rotfl: , I went to the Dr last month and he sent me for thyroid bloods and told me I was getting fat!!! Which made me feel wonderful - he obviously missed the lesson on bedside manner :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !
