I'm too busy for 10 minutes.
Can't you see my life isn't worth living?0 -
Just popped on to say high, my life is full of flying visits these days - atleast I've handed the course work in - yay!! First exam in 10 day - groan!!! I've had some real cravings over the weekend which was unexpected but I dealt with it and to the tune of TITCH (I'm growing stronger everyday, everyday ...etc ...etc) .... ha,ha now I've confused you all I promise I am sober just feeling a little loopy!!
Adz hope you're getting over your down time, I remember being 14 wouldn't want to go there again - but life does get better with age so stop kidding yourself about "choosing" to smoke and kick it into touch - you know you can do it!!!
Hi Jo - missed ya - how you feeling about Monday?? Suppose you got to get through Friday first .... hope all goes well for you.
Hey TNG go Mrs TNG how cool is that you're a smoke free house!! I love my sweet smelling house - although with two dogs, 1 cat and 3 children I don't suppose it smells too sweet ........ha,ha:rotfl: !!!
Hi and hugs to everyone else hope you're all having a smoke free time! Guess what while we were off the air I reached4 MONTHS!!!!
Eternal gratitude to you all :A - but where does the time go?:p ??
take care
IDA
xxI stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0 -
I did it, I did the full year
I've been a non smoker for 1 Year, 9 hours and 2 minutes. I've saved £225.56 by not smoking 5,480 roll ups. I've saved 1 Month, 1 Week, 1 Day, 1 hour and 20 minutes of my life.0 -
It's a day of anniversaries!!!
Well done IDA :T :T
Brilliant effort Mark :T :T
and this is now the longest period of time without a cigarette since..... well, since I first put one in my mouth. I quit when DS1 was born for 15 months and it is now 15 months again, but this time is different as I KNOW I am not going to smoke again
Adz - I thought the same as you when I was 15, and probably so does everyone who starts young. I am in control, I choose to smoke, I can stop when I want. The truth of the matter is that you are NOT in control, you do not choose to smoke and you can't stop when you want because, unfortunately, you are addicted. Why else would you need the support of us lot if you could stop anytime?:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -
Morning,
Can't stop long this morning, got a bigwig in the meeting room right next to my desk and he can see my screen  I was even TOLD to make sure I got in by 9am this morning to give a good impression and I did it!! Doesn't happen very often
Congrats to Mark, IDA and TNG:D:D
Be back soon. xDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Hey everybody, I've missed you all - I felt like my arm had been cut off yesterday - I could only log on this morning. Well at least it's all back to normal now :j
Well I have news and it is not good, but I know you will all bear with me as you are all so kind (i'm hoping!)
I'm smoking again
I know it's no excuse but this is my reason - I am soooo unhappy in my job at the moment, and it stresses me out thinking about it, when I am there - I hate it - and when I get home I am just moaning about it. With this and the stress of giving up smoking I just couldn't cope. I am also going on holiday for christmas, and I know I wouldn't have been able to carry on while on holiday, so my plan now is to smoke casually until then and go for it full throttle in Jan.
The thing is I am not smoking as much as I was, and I don't even like the taste anymore, so maybe I can cut down so much, I won't even need the patches come Jan.

You're not my wife are you, Costa? That sounds EXACTLY like her (and we're going away at christmas)
Never mind. You've set a new date, that's good. Make sure you prepare for it and stick to it regardless. You'll be much stronger next time.
Speak to me at home later about it, if you like :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -

TNG - I have lost your post
I did thank you - it's halloween - maybe the forum has a ghost
It's really hard, but I will be on still as you lot do give me the inspiration to give up, without it, I would be a full time smoker.
Get your wife to log on - I think we could be life long buddies as we have so much in common :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd Club - member no: 538
