"Dont really think Ebay is for you - you make a straightforward transaction a problem"
Lets see now.
Buyer bought items,
Buyer received invoice
Buyer paid invoice
Seller then decides/discovers wrong amount on invoice
Buyer asks for new invoice for amount due
Seller says - no can do.
No invoice - no payment
Either seller takes time to find out how to send buyer a 2nd invoice, so payment can be made OR seller waives postage charge in this case due to their error/mistake.
Next time, they would be more careful when sending their invoice
Buyer willing to make postage payment, Seller unwilling to send 2nd invoice.
And who's to blame ???
Buyer for demanding a postal reduction when one was not offered.

[QUOTE .......an error and didnt charge me for postage so they wouldnt send the items till i paid the delivery, and it was £1.72. i replied saying OKAY, THATS FINE but i THOUGHT the delivery would be cheaper than £1.72 since it would be combined.
..... to avoid any issues, i replied telling the seller, IT WAS FINE, they should please send an invoice for £1.72 so i could pay. the seller replied saying they couldnt do it! /QUOTE]

Its best to ignore people like techspec who try to make themselves feel better by putting others down. Ironic because he/she can not read and understand basic information. I am no ebay guru and that's why i asked for advice. Thanks to everyone for their helpful opinion/advice.T h e F u t u r e I s N o w !0

Just wanted to say that I would also expect combined postage to be cheaper. In my years of buying on ebay it has always been cheaper when making multiple purchases from a seller. If you change nothing, nothing will change!!0

This isn't always the case. If multiple items push the postage into a different category, the price will actually go up. I had an instance recently where a buyer bought multiple items and because this changed the rate from large letter to packet, it actually cost more. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I'd agree, combining postage doesn't always make it cheaper. If I buy say two items that weight 20KG's eg, I wouldn't always get a discount. A bag of lawn sand at 20KG's for example, most couirers have a 25KG's max weight, so if I buy two they have to send as two and incure the postage cost twice. Of course they might get it cheaper using a freight service. If I buy 9 packet of seeds at 99p, then these can sent as one package at a cheaper rate. It does depend on the weight of what you are buying.0
