Thanks Jools I'll tell him- I think he thinks he could just pop them on and see everything straight away. The optician kept telling him he'd have to change the way he reads and move his head rather than his eyes,he feels like a nodding dogRosy, it took me a full 4 weeks to get used to my varifocals, I felt seasick and had to take them off to walk off a kerb or down the stairs!
Beemuzed, nice to hear from you.Hope DH is doing ok with his treatment, and that you enjoy having DS and DGD for half term.
Our DGD has been tonight,17 months old now,the apple of our eye & trying hard to copy what we say now.Gave her some jelly for the first time, very funny

We went to the docs. DS is on two kinds of strong anti biotics for another ear infection and has been referred to the ear specialist at the hospital. They feel he may need a small graft to repair the damage to his perforated ear drum. It's a relief something is being done to be honest. I'm always worried about his hearing being affected in later life.
My knee is also not looking great. They think I may have torn the cartilage so have to see a specialist and have a scan but could well involve an op to repair it. I was hoping for some magic pills to fix it but no such luck, shall just have to limp on and wait for the appointment.
Oh well there are people with much worse problems.
Have a good evening, sleep well xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
