Good afternoon everyone

Lots of frost and ice this morning but it's turned into a beautiful day now.
First day back at work and I am in shock! I had a feeling I would be exhausted tonight so dinner of curried chicken thighs is in the slow cooker and I precooked rice ready to heat through.
Tired or not, am determined to do half an hour rubbish grab tonight so will be dashing around with my bin bag as soon as I get home. Dying flowers on the dining table will be in there first.
Hilstep - is your fasting diet an organised thing or is it something you have made up yourself? I would be very interested in hearing more about it, if you don't mind.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super day

HI all,
For once I'm getting on here a bit early....haven't eaten yet, but have taken in washing that I forgot about last night, arranged my MOT...on 5th April, as its the earliest date they have, so a bit of time to get things done that I can't afford right now.
Spag bol for dinner, will add a few lentils and some soy mince to stretch things a bit, have to be careful as DD2's girls are impossible to satisfy, strangely DD2 was the fussies of my 7 so maybe it is hereditary!
Very cold but sunny here, might even do something outside.
Hugs to all, have a good day

Afternoon All
Just realised not been on here for nearly a month!
Not a lot has changed although DH has now completed 7 chemo cycles - 5 to go! Due to finish near end of May. DS and DGD here for half term so not a lot. Of HW getting done. Beautifully sunny here ATM so am typing in the conservatory and revelling in warmth.
Hope all going as well as may be for all of you. Take care!Resolution:

Hugs Rosy - the loss of your beloved dog is not insignificant and sending you love and hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Rosy, it took me a full 4 weeks to get used to my varifocals, I felt seasick and had to take them off to walk off a kerb or down the stairs!RIP Iain

Morning everyone,
JackieO Did Henry 8th really explode?!!!!
According to legend he was cursed by the church for his split from them, and they apparently said his blood would be drunk by dogs (quite gruesome curses in those days
:))
When he died in his body was taken to Winsor for burial and the night before it was at Syon House. At some point during the night there was an errr....explosion of gases,no proper refrigeration in those days and in the morning he was found to be surrounded by the dogs from the estate who were supposedly feeding on him.Just the sort of tale to interest three little boys who adpore Horrible Histories on t.v.
:)The guide in St georges chapel was brilliant and really engaged their interest. He also explained about the Knights of the Garter and their swords ,helmets and flags and how they get their emblems. It seems when if you are lucky enough to become a Knight of the Garter (its an honour that is the Queens own to bestow on whomsoever she wishes)you can design your own flag to represent things that are important to you in each of the four quarters.DGS Jack has decided his would be, one quarter a football (Chelsea, his favorite team of course) another would be a cloud with rain falling from it as he lives in Rainham
Rather clever I thought)another would be a stage mask as he is keen on drama and the last would be a slice of toast with a chunk of cheese on it as his favourite snack is a cheese toastie
:):)He knows what he likes that boy
:):) Great fun for kids and the state apartments are amazing to see.All the guides there will answer any questions about what's on show which is far more interesting for children than trying to get them to read off a printed sheet I think.Little boys do ask the most odd questions at times, but the guides do seem to have the most amazing amount of patience with children.
Nice quiet day today just pottered around made lots of tea for my builder who only has one more day to do to just tidy up some odds and ends for me
I developed a bit of a sore throat this afternoon so I am having some leek and potato soup for tonights meal as I don't fancy swallowing much at the moment
Tomorrow I have the boys for the day so I will get them doing some flags of their own and colouring them in .They really did seem to enjoy it yesterday and Mikey has a project on castles to do for school(one reason why we went to Winsor)
Hope everyone has had a good day today Its getting colder again thyough I do hope we don't have anymore snow
Cheers chums

JackieO - Fantastic story, I lived in Syon Lane just along the road from Syon House and have never heard this story before!
Evening All
Beautiful day again once the fog cleared, washing been on the line and almost dry, it smells good too. Took some stuff to the tip that didn't fit in the skip and then returned a wheelbarrow to a friend.
Someone has just been and bought some more tools from the dratted shed so we have a few pennies for the holiday tin! I wish my OH had been useless at diy, he wouldn't have had so many tools then!
Salmon and baked pot for tea, very tasty. May go out in a mo as I have just remembered I am on a school trip tomorrow and need to take a packed lunch. Also have a leaving do from work tomorrow evening, hope it's not a late one.
Take care. XX0
