Yes a first time poster,
Yes just joined to let people know of the problems experienced for a lone woman using a Kwik Fit store,
Yes a copy of a letter sent to their customer services department
But it seems even on this expert forum there appears to be the know all's but hey you don't have to read the post.

For someone who's a first time poster, you certainly seem to have a way of sweet talking the regulars, especially the "know it all's".

Certainly not the first forum that I have or currently belong too and certainly not the first time that my posts have been criticised but as I said they do not have to be read.

Arguably people don't know how good a post is until they read it.

They don't have to reply of course (but you don't have to read the replies).

Kwik-Fit won't care as their operatives were behaving exactly as Kwik-Fit tells them to, if you search around you'll find many others with exactly the same experience as you. The one and only time I used them it was the same for me, they wanted to replace parts on my car even when I pointed out they were less than six months old then become quite argumentative about it. Eventually they did the one job they were supposed to be doing but turned out afterwards they hadn't even managed to do that properly.

It's not just the one garage either as I've heard exactly the same from people using the local Kwik-Fit garage (a different one to the one I used).

The best way to show Kwik-Fit that you didn't like their service is to vote with your feet and don't go back there, I certainly won't be.

Kwik Fit scammed me and I got a cheque refund from their head office. I didn't get an apology or an explanation though as obviously the scam was the nature of the business.

And who sets the target related bonuses, wouldn't be Kwik-Fit would it?

I went to Malvern Tyres (Longton, Stoke-on-Trent) recently and would recommend. They fitted an exhaust I supplied (trying to save money but couldn't fit it myself... #feeble) which surprised me (thought they'd insist on their own) and pointed out a dodgy tyre (and it was dodgy) Didn't try to sell any more tyres than the front two I needed done.
