Spent £12.09 in Al*i today, most of which was mayo, tuna, fruit and veg and passata. It also included two lots of RTC fancy biscuits (one choc £0.99p and a tin of shortbread £1.00) for DD. She then announced she didn't like shortbread, so i gave them to my Dad for taking me shopping.

Before that a quick scoot around Mr A and a £10.68 spend which was on mostly yogs, YS flake dessert things for DD, six bags of RTC pasta at 35p each, noodles and various beans.

Mr T shop next week which i am now going to try and add mostly non - perishables to, to make it up to £40 min spend. Unfortunately, this is going to take me slightly over budget by about £15. I aim to then not get any more shopping after this until 1/4; except for milk in C*-*p, as everything else we have in or can be made.
    Famous last words though!

    £63 in Asda yesterday.

Got everything we need until Thursday when I should need to get more milk, potatoes, veg and apples.

Exactly 2 weeks of my challenge left, so I think I should come in on a reasonable budget.

I need to stock up on bottled water, kids drinks, crisps etc for the Easter holidays. We have a few trips out planned and need to keep costs down as much as possible.

Last time we all bought a drink and a bag of crisps at the station is cost about £8!!!

I know that I can buy 12 bottles of water and 6 bags of crisps for £2 in the supermarkets.

I need to source a reasonable priced cool bag/box

My grocery challenge has finished for this month. I spent £45.26 out of £60. My next one started on the 15/03/13 to 12/04/13. Im really pleased and have come well under budget. Im eating more healthily than ive ever done, although a few more goodies did slip in this month :D. Im off for my holiday next week, so im going to lower my budget for next month to £40. Ive managed to use up everything in the fridge but the freezer and storecupboards are full as are the cleaning, toiletries and drinks cupboards.

Unexpected trip to the big ASDA where we spent £30.36. Actually don't go very often at all but there was a 3 for £10 offer on Easter eggs I wanted to take advantage of and I stocked up on some staples so don't need to worry when bf is away as we just got his new schedule and if he gets selected he will rarely be home more than 3/4 nights in a row and I don't drive so it was nice to pick up some stuff without worrying about lugging it home on the bus!

    £11 went on Easter Eggs
£1.50 on 2 bottles of bleach (£1.14 or something each - sure these bottles are bigger now!)
    £2 Bathroom cleaner
£2 on four luxury yogurts for bf as a treat
£3 on three boxes of cereal - stocked up for the foreseeable!
    £1 Cherry tomatoes
£1.60 on cookies (hehe treat for me for a change!)
    £0.50 cucumber
£0.60 on 2 packs of smartprice penne (£0.30 each)
    £0.89 2 pints of milk
    £1.50 on squirty cream
    £2.00 on cheese
    £2 chocolate sponge pudding
    £0.64 on 2 tin sweetcorn (£0.32 each)

that's us done shopping wise for at least two weeks apart from ham, milk, bread rolls and a few yorkshire puddings. Have used some of the entertainment budget (rarely touched!) to get the bits today but still adding to my sig so as to remind myself. Reducing the budget to £100 next month then want to try for £80 the month after that if I can! but that will take some major strategic planning

    £130.99/£140
    2 adults groceries: June £35.79/£200
    # 3 - Saving for Xmas 2015 £1 a day. £122/£365
    TTC #1 since 06/08/12
  • My weekend shop yesterday was £56.02, but I did have a NSD on Friday and another one today. Have reached my goal for NSD this month, so will see how much more I can achieve:D

The big shop included quite a lot of meat from the farmshop, plus some "nice" things because of our visitors.

We had sausage and mash for dinner yesterday and today a lamb roast, very delish. Tomorrow will be a going out day, so probably more expensive but from a different budget. I hope the weather will be better than today.

Have updated signature, now off to read how everybody else is doing. Am finding it very interesting and helpful how others are dealing with the GC!

Thanks and have a good week!
