Yes ipie I can't do red or large font on my iPad as I'm not very techi. Anyway had a £5 voucher for Aldi if I spent £40 so I did a monthly shop including dgs nappies for £37.04 and Mr T has an offer on Easter eggs which ends today buy2 get 2 free so with discount I got 4 eggs for £2.70! I just need to get white chocolate buttons for dgs and thats Easter sorted. I even have a frozen turkey bought with Mr T club card vouchers at Christmas ready for Easter so my budget for March is doable.
Will update sig then I'm in the kitchen to bake DH some cakes as the roast cooks. My secret fantasy is having 2 men....

another no spend day (although i was out for lunch/drinks wi work then 30th bday party but that is not part of grocery budget!)
off to raid freezer for dinner tonight. and need to think of some meals to make. running out of homemade "micro meals" thinking bolognaise/lasagne might be on the menu this time.
also fancy making some wontons from scratch for soups. but still have loads of food left to eat in the freezer so might need to rein my self in a bit on that one!!0 -
€1.98 in L!dal for blueberries and bananas.
Only 1 day to go in my first week. I pay myself on Tuesday again.
Not too bad. Need nothing.
But feels like when you start a diet. All you can think of is eating. Well all I can think of is Supermarkets. I seriously need to get a life:rotfl:

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some pearls of wisdom - DH loves his cereal bars, eats at least 2 or 3 every day and those packets aren't cheap. They are about £2.50 - £3.00 for a pack of 5 or 6, we usually get Nutrigrain bars and Nature Valley bars. I have tried own brands at Mr T and Mr A and they are disgusting so a non-runner. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can cut down on these costs? We also get the Go Ahead slices which are cheaper but I still end up spending a good £30 a month on these things.
[/B]
Just a totally off the wall suggestion but the cereal bars you talk about are all half price at 0cado, for a first time shopper theres a £20 off a first shop, You could stock up??

Second NSD today. NSD #2 sorry can't do red font xx
Will need milk by Tues but would really like to make tomorrow 3 in a row.0 -
Sorry I forgot to say Congratulations Suze and well done on getting back on the GC wagon.Today is my 3rd NSD I have a small list of stuff I will have to buy tomorrow but can manage without today so its another day near the end of the month
:):)I have reorganised my freezer and still have stacks of stuff in there, lots of portioned up stuff that I had made as surplus to requirements which means not a great deal of cooking for me this week.I also found a small pork joint that I may dig out later in the week and cook and slice up for several meals.Just trying to think of what I can make with it as there is only me at home.Perhaps roasted one day sliced with pickles and salad the next and maybe I could curry the last of it ,any ideas chums
What about taking a slice off thetop as it were and have a pork chop parcel slow cook in silver foil with slices of potatoes and onions in layers with some herbs and s and p.Gc 2013 +26 -5. -4 -7 -14 -15 -10.-8.20 +15p+30+5.80 Dec +9 GROCERY challenge 2014 Jan -2Feb -3 March -1.50 April +5.40 May +4.90 June -3.July 16.50/85

Spent £43.87 in Mr T's today, £22.80 of which was on the cats; making full use of the fact that the Felix AGAIL was on offer til the 5/3, and i won't be going or ordering again before then. So, got the last two boxes on the shelf. £5.00 spent on confectionery incl £3.00 on BOGOF Easter eggs, so that's me stocked up. Grocery spend would have been £16.07 without all that on top. However, the cat food will hopefully last me well into the third week of the grocery challenge.
Also went in Al*i and made an instant boo-boo at the checkout by forgetting to produce the Mirror coupon for 30% off pain au chocolat, so these ended up costing me full-price and i wouldn't normally buy them. So treat for DD. I didn't have enough to use the £5 off coupon as the total of the shopping was only £16.93, and couldn't be bumped up, even with the few items my Dad's partner had bought.
I will probably only need cat litter towards the end of next weekend and maybe a small top up of a few other things, so i'm hoping now that shopping will be just at or over the minimum spend for grocery delivery next time; as Dad won't be available for just over a week to take me to the supermarkets. I also need to get chewy delights from the Co-op, as these are on offer and are part of my SW groceries.
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

Guys - if you're struggling to change your font to 'large and red', click on 'advanced' and you change it there. If you "know this already, thank you very much, and you just can't do it on a tablet", I apologise in advance!0

Kids chose Mexican today for dinner instead of th Sunday roast, so I had to get a few salad and fresh bits
However it was all YS at Mr T so spent 2-36,
I used to buy salad bits every week on my Auto Shop style of shopping, but now I only buy when needed and have noticed I do not bin it like I used to most weeks! :rotfl::money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:0
