I'm back in after an epic fail in February - already £5 over budget with about £10 of shopping still to get on the weekend :o
I seem to be going a bit bonkers in Mr T's these days so am going to try to alternate the shopping in March between Mr T and Aldi - I'm a veggie and Aldi don't really stock a lot of veggie stuff.

So, for me and the dog I'm budgeting £140 for the 4 shopping weeks of March - that's £35 a week. The dog stuff normally comes to about £6 a week so that's about £30 a week for me for all food and drinks (including packed lunches), household stuff, toiletries and anything else you get with a normal weekly shop.
Let's hope I can do better next month ;)
  • I would like to join please. My budget for March is $200 including my Husbands birthday/Easter Sunday meal for 9. I have a turkey in the freezer and just bought a coupon for a $35 ice cream cake but paid $18. This will be his birthday cake :)

Hi, can you put me down for £60 again please. My month started from 15/02/13 to 15/03/13. I have so much i need to use up, but do need store cupboard things. This includes, all food, drinks, toiletries and cleaning products. Ile try and stick within this budget this month. Ive spent £8.18 so far on YS veg , YS cheese, YS bread, YS flour and YS soap powder. Fruit from A**i super six, Store cupboard bits from HB and A**i, sandwich bags from HB and 2 boxes of chocablok ice lollies (i know hardly moneysaving) but i had 2x50p off vouchers, so cost me 40p a box. Also bought 2pints of craveldale milk which was free. So im starting well this month... long may it continue.
  • hi...still ahem powering through feb...things are on hold at the moment as it is half term and we have been out a bit

  • Golly March already,

Thankfully on holiday for the last two weeks of March (at the other half's parents) so will be looking at a spending of no more than £100 this month. Wanting to use alot of what we already have in and really wanting to get back to the old style way.

I find I usually spend more when staying with familywhodonot let me contribute togrocerys as I dont feel right about paying nothing and buy a present or two to say thank you.

I spent £600 on airfare.. my sister WILL pay for me to eat! It's our arrangement, as she doesn't visit me and thus has no large spends on travel. I do bring gifts for the kids, and help her around the house though.

I think it largely depends on who you visit, and what their situation is!

And.. it is swings and roundabouts. I think my parents are visiting me in the next few months, so my budget will go up a bit then.

First spend to report on day one of my March GC. Always get my veg/meat box on pay day and then 2 weeks later so that was £33.19 for 2 weeks worth. Popped into Asda and spent [STRIKE]£21.37[/STRIKE] £14.09 some stuff I have been waiting on payday to get, things that aren't important but needed like marmite ;) Got my two purses now, one for groceries and one for "other stuff" mainly bus fare, coffee money and entertaining DS money :)

Anyway couldn't be bothered to go to Aldi and bought veg in Asda, but only a few things needed for tonight. Have a £1 off if you spend £3 on fruit and veg voucher to spend in Co-op so am thinking of picking up a couple of things tonight at work.

EDIT: Just replied to a post over on February and realised I need to start putting things through in two transactions to keep other and grocery separate (learning curve here lol) so have changed my Asda total removing my other purchases. Means I have more grocery money and less other money (yay/boo lol)
