Use IP tracker online and put the email header into the tracker and see where the email has come from

Ive emailed the guy hopefully he will get back to me then I can track him.Nothing can be done about this kind of thing as its likely to originate from Nigeria but I can certainly waste his time and some of his internet caf! money.

Just delete the email - hardly a big deal

It IS a big deal, a lot of people are desperate to find work and it's not difficult to see that they are making money out of people's desperation.

In theory we should all be savvy enough to spot a scam like this, but some people may be more naive for a number of reasons. If you are unemployed, facing hardship, you don't want to risk missing out on a potential job.
  • anyone tried calling that number yet?

Hope I'm wrong in my suspicions but on the surface this looks like a ruse to encourage people to ring what is probably a premium rate number and there is no job!

If so, I'm utterly disgusted at whoever is behind this, what a low life thing to do

There was something on Radio 4 'You & Yours'

About a job scam where there was a premium number and arrangement fee.

According to some friends of mine on 419 the number is not premium rate. Maybe wrong but I see what you are thinking. This is how they conduct interviews but no one answers the number when called.

It's a personal redirect number and is not revenue earning - loved by Nigerian scammers because they can redirect it to Nigeria and look like they are in the UK.

When those from Nigeria call me I keep them talking as long as possible
