  • THE Mark Philips, the one who was married to Princess Anne??
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • I got that same email an hour ago. I live close to London and only apply for jobs locally that I would be able to commute to and since you're in Brighton I doubt we applied for the same job. Did you try calling the number?
  • 070s are personal numbers, you're going to get charged 50p+ for calling that number.

    [Edit]

And more obviously the person is trying to hide their actual phone number, stinks of a scam.
  • Had the same mail this morning so presume that Mark Philipps also has jobs on offer in Manchester!

Not sure if it is connected but I signed up with an online job board yesterday...
  • Just found this same email in my spam box. I've been applying for jobs left, right and centre so glad I googled the email address before calling.
  • Just had the same email come in and thought it looked suspicious with no job reference or company name. Pleased I Google'd it and came across this thread. Thanks everyone, you probably saved me an expensive phone call at the least!

And their location. I would predict that if you rang that number the person the other end would have a heavy (probably African) accent.

I received a similar email last week from tonyrender44@yahoo.com

  • Had this today as well from Mark Phillips. I'm also in Brighton which is how I found this thread by searching Google for '"Edie wilson" brighton' to try and find out a company. I applied for 2 jobs at the end of last week so thought my luck may be in.

I didn't know about 070 numbers, I assumed it was just a mobile.

    Thanks for mentioning it.

It might be worth sending an e-mail saying, "thanks for the job offer, unfortunately I have been detained at HMP (insert the prison of your choice here) for the past twenty-five years, so will not be able to attend. If the job's still going in ten years from now, I'll come along. Erm...you do employ serial-killers, don't you?"
