Mis-sold phone contract, or miscommunication?

Sounds like you've been sold one plan and accidentally put on another. Tmob have two tariffs at £26, one is advertised as 600 mins, 500 texts and 250mb data. The other is the Full Monty 26 which is truely unlimited data. They've sold you the full Monty one and then I'm guessing someone has clicked the wrong 26 tariff at some point when it's been put through. I'd get onto the mobilesphonedirect and simply say 'hi i took a contract out but I've been out in the wrong tarrif, please can you switch it back'.
It won't right itself when your number goes across as they need to change your tariff to the Full Monty £26 which does have unlimited data. I don't think you have been missold as the tarrif does exist, think its more if a case that the sales person has mid-clicked and has clicked the wrong 26 plan.0 -
Are you sure they said unlimited data or unlimited mobile internet?
T-mobile seems to have data then mobile internet browsing. When I was sold my package it was 250 mb data plus unlimited internet browsing.
Either you've misunderstood at it was a 250mb data package or they've clicked the wrong thing.
Also, I might be wrong but I didn't think T-mobile did a 500 minutes package.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -

Hopefully that's the case, and they can sort it for me in the morning. Like you say there are different ones that look very similar so hopefully it was just a mistake.thegirlintheattic wrote: »Are you sure they said unlimited data or unlimited mobile internet?

I'm not sure now you mention it, I think it said mobile internet when I bought it, do you think that's what the guy on the phone meant about the difference between browsing and then downloading things? Best Wins:

[STRIKE]They don't seem to list a 500 minute plan on their website but on mobilephonesdirect there are quite a few 500 min T-Mobile plans. I would have thought they couldn't be selling a tariff that T-Mobile don't offer?[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]I'm wondering whether its an error on the part of mobilephonesdirect as, looking at the S3 prices a 500 min, unlimited internet tariff is the same price as a 300 min, 1GB internet tariff [/STRIKE]
ETA: Actually I've found the 500 min, unlimited data tariff on T-Mobile's site. They call it the Full Monty 26.
ETA: And like mobilephonesdirect, T-Mobile have a different tariff with less allowances for the same price!0 -

Appolgies you are right - I was thinking about SIM only. I do still think that the difference between data and browsing was what the guy on the phone was talking about. Both in store and on the phone with T-mobile it was made very clear that there was data (downloading, you tube, streaming) then unlimited mobile internet (which was browsing, e-mails, facebook).
EDIT: The package you talk about is the Full Monty 26 but it looks like you've been given the 24 month, £26 plan which is 600 mins, 500 texts and 250 mb internet. I would see what the website people have to say tomorrow.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -

Normally most low cost t-mobile deals unlimited data plans come with an asterix, which if you check, says it is only unlimited for browsing, for anything else there is a limit, usually 250/500mb.
Always a problem with 3rd party deals like this, who do you go to when you have this sort of issue, T-mobile will say they processed the order as received, so contact 3rd party, but 3rd party will say they cannot change your plan only t-mobile can, and on the roundabout we get.0 -

Any deviation to what was agreed has to be sorted out by the 3rd party. It's not just about the money0 -
I rang MPD this morning and told them that what I bought wasn't matching what was on the T-Mobile account. He said that what I ordered is what I'll be getting because I've got boosters included.
Though I'm not sure if I have 500 or 600 minutes which I'm not bothered about really as I don't ring anyone really.
But I made sure to ask what the cap is on "unlimited" data, and he said it is actually unlimited, and then I made him confirm everything to me again.
Though I'm still paranoid about going anywhere near 250mb lol:dance: Best Wins:

If the booster is included you have to see it in your account.0
