I would avoid debenhams flowers like the plague too. I ordered flowers for my wife on her anniversary (11th feb). I got a text from yodel saying they'd arrived. However my wife (who was in at the time) hadn't received them and no card was left. The yodel driver delivered them the day after saying 'sorry these should have come yesterday' before running off. Debenhams failed to respond to my emails and phone calls for 10 days. Today they said that they could not give me a refund because lots of other people experienced the same problem. Since when has multiple incidence of breach of contract been an excuse to ignore consumer rights? I clearly have a right to refund under SOGA as time was of the essence. Anniversary flowers need to arrive on the anniversary!0

You still got the flowers. I don't believe SOGA say you should get a full refund as your anniversary flowers were one day late.
You should have rejected the delivery and asked for a refund. Accepting the delivery has weakened your position. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

It is not, of course.
The only question is: did Debenhams specifically say that the flowers would be delivered on a particular day.
If the did, then they are clearly in breach of contract. If, on the other hand, they only said they would do their best to deliver them on a specified day then you may have a problem. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I chose 11th feb when I placed the order and this was the delivery date confirmed on the order email.0
