Debenhams flowers ruins valentines...

Furious with Debenhams Flowers, order flowers, email back 9.34pm on 13th to say their delivery had not arrived from Holland, but could deliver on 15th - reluctantly agreed, next day another email no explanation other than they would not be able to deliver and I could have a refund and some vouchers. Not good enough from such a large retailer. Going to sue for Breach of Contract.

So do yourselves a favor and avoid Debenhams Flowers like the plague.

  • I understand that you are annoyed, but what good do you think suing will do? They have offered a refund, which is all that they need to do.

Maybe it's a claim for "loss of enjoyment"? ;)

Sue? You have been watching too much American drama and/ or have money to burn on legal fees, in which case I can't see why you would rely on cheap tat from Debenhams.

I wouldn't. You'll end up out of pocket as no court will award you anything when they've already offered a refund. Take the refund and move on.

  • Why not say no to Debenhams and dash up to Sainsburys etc and get the flowers there? At 9.30pm on 13th I realised (work very busy) that I did not have a card or plowers, quick dash and problem solved.

So on Valentines Day they told you sadly they could not deliver your flowers the day after Valentines Day, but you could have a refund and a some vouchers.
And instead of you just buying some somewhere else and enjoying the day you want to sue them.

    Good Luck.

    Good luck with that.

  • I can see why you are annoyed but personally I'd just forget it, don't stress yourself by carrying on with it - you will never beat Debenhams.
