I wouldn't compare a squint to partial sight. But let's be aware that this isn't a competion.

Two kids is hard work. Multiple problems. One set of carers allowance. It is not right.

I do see appointments as being a part of my role as a mother. People have it worse than me but I feel I should be paid for caring for them both. Not just one. I am a lone parent. My ex has withdrawn maintenance. I guess I have issues. But let the righteous non claimers and old timers revel in their smugness.

I didn't come to my mind to compare conditions, I was just referring to the fact that frequent medical appointments can also be an issue for those who don't claim DLA (and wouldn't be entitled). It was only in response to you listing all the appointments you have with your kids that I posted. By the way, I was a lone parent for 5 years (and still feel so to some extent as I don't expect my partner to take on the role of their dad) and don't get any maintenance either, but I don't see what this has to do with claiming DLA.

There's no secret that I used to post under a different username but at least I wasn't PPPRed, unlike some.;)

I'll leave you to wallow in your guilt.

I have never been PPred. Not everyone is Andy or any other person you have hounded off the Benefits board.

I don't feel guilt. I have nothing to feel guilty about. You are way off. Maybe you should take a bit of time out love and get a life instead of racking up thousands of posts and winding people up.

And I never said your new username was a secret.

Best wishes. And many annoying :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Quite amazing that someone who joined this month should know dunroamin's previous username.

It has nothing to do with DLA. This was a thread about Carers Allowance.

People are capable of reading but not posting until they need help or choose to post on a topic they feel strongly about.

    Nothing amazing about that.

Fine, carers allowance but I thought most claimed for someone on their basis of entitlement to DLA middle rate care? Still nothing to do with maintenance from exes.

I dont want to change places with you, you seem to presume my life has been a bed of roses.

Both my children had sight problems, both were born with congenital cataracts, both had eye operations not connected with the cataracts although both of them had cataracts removed eventually in their twenties.

At the last count my husband has had 13 operations on his eyes and another one looming for the possible evacuation of one of his eyes.

And of course because of thos operations his sight is badly affected, life is difficult at times.

So dont tell me I dont know what its like. I do and have done since the year dot.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Can you quote my post that said you don't know what it is like, as I don't believe I said that.

We each have our cross to bear. Again, it is not a competition. I think if you care for more than one person, you should receive more than one lot of carers allowance which is very low as the OP said.

I read more than I post. That is all. I have read MSE for years. There is nothing wrong in that.

I should not have said you hounded Andy off. For that, I apologise. Just seems that everyone who doesn't fall in line with ONW gets picked on.
