You should be able to get a suitable bit of hose from a local supplier. As long as it's oil resistant then any same diameter hose should be ok.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

I don't think so... it's nothing to do with the crankcase. I'll just nip outside & have a look at mine......
On mine the thin pipe goes to the intake manifold.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

Doesn't look right to me, You won't need to replace the fat one. You would only -subject to closer inspection- need to replace the thin one. And of course the valve cover fitting linked to earlier for £2.990 -
Is this any help to trace what it is ?
You can download an owners manual.

The exploded diagram calls item 4 an "oil trap", it could be going there.
This page
http://www.serioussaab.co.uk/Procs_pages/proc_pages/p_breatherkit.html
says the bit on the bottom of the oil trap goes to the sump..
From that page I would say the thin pipe is vacuum hose 'J' with a one way valve.
And on the exploded diagram the vacuum hose goes to the seperator and from the seperator to the inlet pipe there is another vacuum link.
So, if you don't want to ask SAAB how much for a replacement vacuum hose, just measure the hose and buy some new vacuum hose, the forums are using 3mm hose but no idea if that is correct for this particulat pipe. Then see if you can wash out the white valve or buy a new one.0 -
it is a breather pipe but is one way as it goes to the inlet manifold but when on boost it stops the crankcase being pressurized by the turbo0

My Araldite fix appears to have set solid so I should be good until the new parts arrive to swap over.0

Good old Araldite appears to have done a grand job.0

Surprised Jim, as one the bangereers, that with a low pressure, non-critical component like that, you are buying a new part at all.0
