I think I just got the printer. It has to processed separately as a goodwill gesture after the original order arrives. But be warned, it took nearly an hour of patient negotiation!

Was it just the basic £234 PC you ordered? I imagine they might have "good will" for a more expensive PC. And presumably the 720 printer?

    Mike.

I went through customer services via saynoto0870, got them on to the page with the evalue code and pointed out the three offers in the blue box. It was hard going though.

    cheers, Mark

Problem is that if you order on the phone then I assume that you won't get any extra referal points for MSE / RPoints or whoever one might use?!

no, you won't...you have to click through on the referral link to get cashback

I don't think it makes any difference. Even if you managed to get the same operative it wouldn't be fair to put her through it twice in one day ;-)
  • Just to clarify, I ordered the basic system first, online thru MSE, Rpoints etc. Then I queried the absence of the 722 printer by (landline) phone. In other words, everything by the MSE book using Mike's original suggestion. Hope this helps.

Hi guys. I ordered a Dell Dimension 3000 on Sunday( same as the one you have all ordered, but had few extras),they estimated delivery 20th, but it arrived Thursday! They do keep you informed when they will deliver. Well impressed with speed of delivery, and so far (touch wood, dont want to hex it!) the computer. I upgraded mine tho, had 1024 mb ram, and had the modem ( never know bb may go down!) had cdrw, and a dvd rom drive, and the speakers, cos me £392, and well worth it. Bit stingy on the loaded software though. After my emachine, its heaven! I didnt get a free printer, but didnt want one, their inks are very expensive, I am sticking with my canon pixma ip3000, excellent printer if anyone is looking for a new one I recommend it highly!:j
