Starting at 99p with no reserve!

Quite honestly, if I read that on another listing, I will scream!

Now look here sellers, the minimum you can put on as a reserve is £50 - I'm sorry but your 99p piece of tat is not going to make that in a million years - stop acting like you are doing us a massive favour!

Rant over. ;)

  • Ok, so I had my rant, I feel a lot better for it, obviously no-one else agrees, that's their perogative, so what now? If I hover my cursor over the edit button it says edit/delete but if I click on it, I can just edit - where is the actual delete option?
  • You can delete what you've written in your first post but not the actual post as it would delete the entire thread.

If you want to delete it ask one of the mods.

Well I've just started a listing for something at 1p start and said No Reserve in the description..... Should sell for between £20 and £30.
I never thought about there being a minimum reserve price so I have learnt something new in this thread.

It used to be that 'no reserve' was a high searched term, I'm not sure it has been for a while.

A couple of my irritations is 'job lot' for something like two pairs of socks and 'pallet' when it's no more than a shoe box.

Oh, and "l@@k" which makes me do the exact opposite.

Yes, l@@k always gets my goat!

Also things that are described as 'stunning' when it's really just a tired old bit of tat

Or 'rare' when there are hundreds listed on eBay already.

Its much more annoying than a no reserve auction - when people start a thread or post on MSE - and then want to delete it.

It's the number of RARE items that get my goat.

I only wanted to delete it because people were looking and not replying so obviously found it annoying or simply a waste of time :p

Mods, if you are around, please feel free to delete my thread. Thank you.
  • The thread has already been of some use, since not everyone was previously aware that the minimum reserve is £50.

I really don't think people reading a thread but nobody replying within an hour of it being posted is a good reason for deletion.
