This is what they say on their website,
We set highly competitive prices for all our products, with a dedicated team regularly checking them against other high street competitors. If we find a national high street competitor offering a better nationwide price for the same individual product, sold with the same service conditions, we'll lower our price to match in all our shops and on our website, including when a competitor is having a sale.
Some high street competitors have a different nationwide shop price to their online price; in that instance we'll match whichever is the lower of the two across our shops and on our website. We also know that some high street competitors have a lower price in specific shops. Where these shops are in the local area of a John Lewis branch, we'll lower our price in that branch to match.
Their guarantees on electrical stuff are often 2 yrs free and 3 on their own brand which can be a bonus.0 -
Slightly different but I received a £150 M&S voucher from doing unpaid work in the holidays. I spent it on a £45 classic black dress as a treat and the rest on Dine in for £10 deals and steaks haha:rotfl:You deserve treats!0

Hi, just wanted to update in case anyone would like to know how I got on.
I gave £25 in vouchers to my mother in law.
I spent the remaining £75 on stocking up my freezer and some other bits and bobs. I bought mainly reduced items and those on offer, with £21 of savings, taking me to £96 worth, I checked mysupermarket.co.uk before I went and am cooking some of the drumsticks I spotted for lunch today.
My favourite things were a poussin for £2.20, a joint of beef for 5 of us on Mother's Day for about £6 and some gourmet sausages for £2.49. I bought various cuts of meat for 3 for £10 and a posh looking pie reduced.
I made some lamb mince into a shepherd's pie when I came back and my girls raved and raved about it, they said it was their favourite meal in ages, the lamb was lovely.
I now have a freezer full and have meal planned to the end of March. I've joined the grocery challenge with a target of £200 but I don't think it would be unrealistic to come in much lower than that.
I bought Waitrose Essentials bread for 80p a loaf, this has also gone down very well plus some cakes with £1 off. I was also surprised by the pasta parcels with bolognese in, £1.85 for a pack which will serve 3 of us, I remember buying 2 for £4 in Sainsbury's and thinking that must be a bargain. I bought Essentials garlic bread to go with them.
All in all, am delighted. Thank you so much for all the ideas and inspiration, it really helped x
