Not sure where you live but if you check online you will see "waitrose food and home" stores. These are part waitrose and part John lewis. You can still get your free delivery if over £50 spent. You can also buy "home" goods ie bread maker etc. you can use your vouchers online by scratching the foil off but do not scratch if you intend to use in store as you will invalidate them. If you use less of your voucher in store they will give you the cash back in change. Ok. Hope that helps you.

Thank you partner, it certainly does, all good info to have. I am in a bit of a no JL or Waitrose wilderness but any way these vouchers get spent, it's going to be fun.

Another idea not yet mentioned.. to buy up joints and other favourite cuts and fill the freezer. Plus some treats too ;)

Thank you, or depending on use by dates, taking care of a fair bit of Christmas. :)

How about buying meat when reduced? This is the only time I can afford it, you need to go lunchtime or later and look for red and while striped stickers which are mingled on the shelf with non reduced.

Waitrose say that they have checked for horsemeat and not found, although apparently did find some pork in their beef meatballs.

Buying your weekly shop there would devalue your tokens as some stuff is still considerably more expensive. HTH

If there is no 'use by' date on the vouchers I would suggest taking your time on the project. Half the fun is going to be thinking about it, planning, choosing, changing your mind etc.

Also, if you're planning a mass throw-out and changes in the home, might be worth waiting until you've done that and seeing if you need something new then.

the black pudding sausages from the deli counter are lovely but not every branch stocks them. The free-range boneless leg of pork is good too.

Re their essentials range - someone asked me to get frozen roast pots for them & several packs I picked up had black bits in the potatoes, so just check, that range isn't necessarily better just because it's Waitrose.

If you don't already have one, when you're there, pick up a My Waitrose card application form from Customer Services - even the temporary card entitles you to a free coffee in the restaurant & if you are shopping on a weekday & spend over £5 (can be vouchers) you can get a free Daily Telegraph or Daily Mail. Plus their in-house mag is free too.

And you get 1p off your shopping :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

If you've been hankering after a particular item for a while (a Panasonic breadmaker, for example), but putting it off because of the price, then I'd put the money towards that. OTOH, if it's just something to buy, and you're not that bothered about having one, then get groceries instead, possibly with a little £15-20 treat.

I knew about the coffee, I didn't know about the newspapers :-)

I think the newspaper offer finished on 12 February - it was for weekday papers and you had to spend £5 (including the cost of the paper).

If you're unsure what to spend on and if the vouchers don't have a use-by date, you could save it for a blow-out at Christmas (sorry to mention the C word).

As others have said, they often have brilliant reductions. Last Sunday I got £23 worth of food for £3. They even paid me to take away three packs of oranges:T. But it can be a bit hit and miss and if you're 10 miles away probably not worth the risk.

I wouldn't spend it all on a normal weekly shop. I think you'd do well to get your weekly shop at aldi and supplement it with a few treats from waitrose. You could stock up on special offers or delicious treats you can't get elsewhere.

I think that would give you better value than just a straight weekly shop.

If it's available in your shop, Duchy Ayrshire whole milk - its amazing. Tastes like milk should! :)
