I booked flights for my son before he was born as we were flying to a wedding. It was no problem we just advised of his name, DOB and passport no. When we had it.0

Yeh I know what you mean.0 -
Hmm I wonder if you can do that with adults too...
Leave names to the last minute in case of a break up etc... Claim age discrimination! :rotfl::T0 -
;59383639]Yep. Or worse still give their opinion on whether you should be doing it or not....
To be honest I am surprised that they do it, but its great that they do0 -
Depends on the airline, you either booking it Inf Baby TBA or some airlines prefer you just call them to add the infant on when they are born. Either way, they sit on the lap so the space is guaranteed.Happy0

Read post #5 again - the name is NOT changed, it's simply added. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Can you let us know which flight you choose so we can make sure we're not on it. I hate it when selfish parents take screaming babies onto planes so we can all enjoy for two hours what you put up with 24/7. Thanks.0

Fair play to your son for not screaming, but every for child like yours there is at least 7 who will scream the plane apart. Can't stand it, if you have a baby that's your choice, don't inflict the noise on innocent others though.0 -

Same here, they were both fine and I've been on a LOT of flights where most babies and children are fine and well behaved. Some have screamed on landing due to their ears but as I normally feel the same way due to mine I can empathise.
As ours got more mobile we took small presents (cars, sticker books etc) for them to unwrap as well as snacks and drinks to keep them entertained and in their seats so they wouldn't be (what I percieved as) any bother to other passengers. But you know what, after 2 children and everyone elses ideas of how you should parent them I thought sod it! As long as they behaved themselves to the standards I expected (and they are pretty high) then if other people have a problem, tough. Its their choice whether they get on a public plane as much as its my choice to travel with small children. Its a lot to expect a 2/3/4 yr old to stay sat in the same seat for 4+ hours without wanting to move around, walk up and down aisle etc
And people can also use ear-plugs if they're that bothered by the sound of a baby crying.0
