Oh fab, mind if I join? Recently spent some time meal planning and getting teh shopping list down from around £300 to around £100 and finding it a bit bland if I'm being honest.
Thinking of switching to a butcher next month so we should at least enjoy the meaty meals.
This week is a bad example as ended up whoopsie shopping on a Sunday, and forgot what we went in for, beans! My daughter did a fantastic job of swiping whoopsied hello kitty cupcakes into the trolley before we could argue but at 49p and it being half term, what could I say, she 'needed' them! lol.
This week is -
Monday - Whoopsied takeaway meal for two (Indian).
Tuesday - Rack of lamb, asparagus and par boiled and fried rosemary new potatoes. Possibly with whoopsied string beans and baby carrots if we are really hungry.
Wednesday - Chicken roast with all the trimmings.
Thursday - Chicken curry and basmati rice.
Friday - Toad in the hole. Maybe with beans or green veg and gravy depending on what we need to use up.
Saturday - Hm lasagne, salad and hm garlic bread.
Sunday - Chicken roast dinner and all the trimmings.
Abit too much meat in the diet this week for my liking.
Have a fab recipe for vegetarian sausages, sometimes good meals come disguised as meat but with loads of veg. If anyone is interested the ingredients are below. haven't tried them yet but as some ingredients you have to buy more than you need and enjoying whoopsie-ing (is that a real thing?) I reckon they could be a healthier version of the vege kind and a sneaky way to get veg in the little one.
Looking forward to seeing your meal plans, and it would be fab, and only if you wanted to, including an average cost for the meals and for how many would be pretty fab because it can be so hard thinking of new ideas. Of course don't feel you have to I don't want to intrude on an already fab thread
