Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

I think people often don't know what to say and don't realise that "oh well you can try again" is just wrong, I didn't want another baby, I wanted the one I could no longer have.

My friend was told to put it behind her and get pregnant again and followed the advice. She had a healthy baby - but on the anniversary of the previous miscarriage. It made every birthday a bitter-sweet occasion.

So, so sorry to hear your sad news. There are no words, but as someone else said, let yourself grieve and take the time to heal as much as possible. You have no reason to feel guilty and have done NOTHING wrong. This is not your fault. And you are absolutely entitled to feel terrible so ignore anyone who seems to think otherwsie. Sending hugs xxxxx

Sorry hun - it's crap, the ones where you find out at the scan (I hate the term missed miscarriage) are a particularly vile trick of nature, and it hurts like hell... go yell, scream, shout, cry, overindulge in stupid amounts of chocolate or whatever you need to do to get through it all.
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

We only found out when we went for the scan...stupidly excited on the way there, and then they couldnt find a heartbeat, our baby was already gone :(:(:(

Ive to go back to the Hospital on Monday to check on "progress" Im dreading that bit. When I mc'd last year, it was awful, being poked and prodded by different people.

I HATE this and I feel so guilty....no idea why tho:(

Same thing happened to me but because of the size of the baby I didn't have to go back for another scan. I had an Erpc 4 days later.
