I don't have a VAT number but I do pay tax
Guess you don't do 4000 sales a month then....Yes, there's a VAT number.
Must be a pain reclaiming the VAT from each Amazon purchase and paying higher VAT on the ebay purchase. But it's clearly a large scale business that they're running.
Surprising, I've seen plenty of these sellers well over the threshold and no VAT number in sight (not to mention no complete address on the listing either). In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

This one seems to be dotting 'i's and crossing 't's all over the place. There's a full contact address on the listing. Google streetview reveals a newish looking housing estate with detached houses and very nicely maintained gardens. Looks like a nice place to live.0 -

There's certainly a market for it and this is great for Amazon (a sale and big advert for them with their logs plastered over everything), not so good for eBay though.
Combined with counterfeits, it's driven a lot of buyers away from eBay over the years in my cat and now Amazon's pricing has gone right up as major competitors are fast falling by the wayside and Amazon's pricing software has no one to spider against but they have enough loyal customers who will pay, for example, 3 or 4 pounds more now on a product that used to be 14 pounds. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

I think that even the price I paid was quite reasonable for the product, which was a new 5 DVD set of a television series. The Amazon price is very cheap, IMHO. I'm not sure I remember this kind of product being cheaper than they are now.0 -

Thanks - I'll bare that in mind.
I always assumed the buyer would know the boxes were just recycled. But this is Ebay - you cannot take anything for granted.0 -
I recycle amazon boxes for my sales but I turn them inside out 1st so the logo is inside.0
