Item arrives by Amazon. 'Hmmm.... I'm sure I bought that from Ebay.' Oh, it was bought on ebay, but the item is £3 less on Amazon.
Well played, seller

Don't you ever look around online before parting with your cash? You're lazy, so the seller profits...fair play to themWe have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

I think I'm usually pretty good at doing price comparison, and would certainly usually check Amazon and other sites when buying some DVDs. But demonstrably I didn't do the full moneysavingexpert thing this time0 -
A lot of sellers seem to be doing this now - always check play dot com and amazon before buying any dvds or games. My daughters are my world0

I've noticed quite a few places selling on ebay (and yes, actually selling) when their prices are obviously inflated sufficiently to cover listing costs / final fees - compares to buying direct from their own websites. Pure laziness ... and the POWAHZ! of ebay.0

It could also be that the seller uses Fulfilment by Amazon, where their stock is held in a Amazon warehouse & Amazon post it out on their behalf0

I did wonder why something I bought on eBay recently turned up in an Amazon pack lol, so this is why!
Well, I paid my money on eBay, a price I was happy to pay for the item - it arrived, in good time and condition, so (like the OP) I don't see any reason to be unhappy!0 -
I looked at the seller's feedback, and a few people have noticed that the items came from Amazon and were cheaper there. I think it's very unfair to neg for that reason.
(I left a positive and 5/5 stars BTW).0 -
It's ridiculous to neg for that reason.
The buyer and seller agreed the price whether it was BIN or auction, the goods were as described and turned up as they should have.
No reason to moan frankly.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0 -
I was amused by it. I don't consider it a 'lesson' as I bought the item at work, and did it in a hurry as I had ... work to do. Usually I'm much more careful to do some price comparison. So I found it funny.
Edit: I've gone through some of the sellers other items on ebay, and they are all typically a pound and a bit to a few pounds more expensive than on Amazon. If the seller is selling an item for (say) £1.14 more than Amazon, is that enough to make a worthwhile profit after paying Ebay fees on an item selling on ebay for £4.99
Of course they may be sourcing that item from somewhere else apart from Amazon.0 -

I send loads of items in Amazon boxes cos i use recycled packaging.
Hope i don't get someone thinking the items come from Amazon.0
