Excel parking charge

I'm sure this has probably been posted somewhere but I'm new to this forum and really wanted up to date advice. I received a parking charge from excel for failure to display a ticket. I have appealed asking for proof that no ticket was purchased as the pictures show up entering and leaving the car park but not the dashboard either displaying or not displaying a ticket. I have searched the car but can't find a ticket so am now doubting whether or not I bought a ticket at all! I have seen some posts to say ignore and I'm just wondering if this is still the advise you would all give? I'm also under the impression that ignoring any threats and being referred to debtors does not affect your credit rating. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance for anyone who bothers to reply as I'm sure these questions must get asked a thousand times!

Ignore is still the up to date advice providing its your car, though if you did enter to their sham appeals they know who to write to. And they never do court it will be impossible to affect your credit rating. Just ignore the threats and they will go away after a few letters from them and their powerless agents. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. I have too been subject to their ineffectiveness...
I put £2.50 into the ticket machine (the charge for a full day's car park), no money dropped out, pressed the green button, and displayed the ticket as issued by the machine (never thought to look at the time printed on the ticket).
Returned to the car that afternoon to find a parking ticket stating I had not displayed a valid ticket as the ticket only gave parking til lunch time and this was the afternoon. It would appear the ticket issued was for 4 hours despite putting money in for a full day.
Any advice?0 -
Did you perhaps miss the reply above yours ? The advice is the same ! Also please post a new thread if you require more advice as we try and keep to one parking issue per thread otherwise it could get confusing - thanksWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Thank you. My notice was via the post so they already have my address. I have appealed via email so they'll have that now although I'll try and block if they keep mailing me.0

Check the Letter Chain thread for a pretty good idea of what they will send you - then just tick them off till the end of the scam.
They might persist a bit longer as you have contacted them - all that serves is to make them assume you take the scam seriously.

You think you've appealed? :rotfl:
Please, please read the forum (except the Park Right thread):

Every thread is about this scam and tells you everything you need to know, lots of links on thousands of threads. And the 'PPC letter chains' in pictures is there as well near the top - but please look at the OLD pre-October letters not the new link as that's too new to have pics yet.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
