Ordered a couple of the narcissus bags and they arrived today

They have a really strong smell, like paint or creosote type of thing. I've sprayed them with febreze and hoping it might help, but I've had to put them in the porch because the smell was so strong. They look lovely though!0 -

Mine have just arrived and although they are beautiful i can also confirm the smell is really bad, the do indeed smell of varnish or paint.
Mine are outside also and i hope the fresh air will take away the smell.0 -
For people who have used these before, are they good quality? As in if I need to carry all my fruit and veg in them it would be okay? Currently use tesco bags for life but these would look much nicer

If it helps, some of mine were stacked full of heavy Christmas presents and made it all the way over to France as hand luggage and are still going strong.
With regard to people commenting on the smell of these bags, mine had a slight whiff on arrival but that didn't last long so I wouldn't let it put you off buying.0 -

Mine arrived too today and I'm very pleased with them. They do smell quiet bad but I think that's the paint and will hang them outside tomorrow for the whole day, hopefully that will get rid of the smell.0

I wondered about the smell. Mine arrived today and they absolutely stink, I do hope it goes soon. Apart from that, I do like them, they're a good size and appear quite sturdy.Sex and Drugs and Sausage Rolls.0
