Plastering quote..is this right?

Hi
Wanted to run this past everyone before committing... we have approached a builder to skim 3 bedroom ceilings to cover horrible 1970's artex. The rooms are approx 12' 8'' by 9' 10'', 15' 1'' by 10' 7'' and 12' 9'' by 11'' 7' - we have been quoted about £ 680.00 per room. Does this seem too high or about right? Having gone through a builder I'm wondering whether this price includes his mark-up if he gets a subcontractor to actually do the work.
He also wants £ 65-70 to put up curtain rails, £ 94 to replace a 1m long window board/sill and £590 per room to fit new straight edged wooden skirtings. Any ideas as to whether we are being ripped off? Thanks

£680 per room?
I am getting plasterers in to reskim my new house and not one of them was charging anywhere near that per whole room, let alone just for the ceiling.
It sounds terribly high to me, I would shop around.Total Original Debt: £30404.24

Ask your neighbours if they know any good Polish builders. The quality of work will probably be better and considerably cheaper by a long way.FREEDOM IS NOT FREE0

Hi
I'm based in North Cheshire - thanks for confirming my original thoughts that the price was too high. He wanted over £ 1100 to replace skirtings in three bedrooms - I'm now going to do that myself for under £ 200 including hiring a saw to mitre the boards correctly which should save a few bob.0
