  • I thought you said it was an audi? now you say it was a Punto or a megane?

When did I say I had an Audi?
  • When did I say I had an Audi?

My bad - I misread. Somewhere between "admiral, added and admin" - I thought I saw the word audi. I apologise.
  • I am having major issues with them at the moment. Their customer service is so dreadful, I honestly believe my dog could offer a better service.
  • Their service is very poor. I had an accident recently and it takes ages to speak to anyone and when you do get someone they can only answer on question as there are so many different departments! Policy, renewal, changes, damages, recover, liability, total loss etc.
  • appalling level of customer service and on top of that these guys are master are cheating you. When you are looking for a quote at any of the comparison websites you will receive unlimited calls from them and even offers to sell you at a price lower than what is being quoted onlines and once you become a customer is when you see the realities behind it. Everytime you call customer service you are in a queue waiting for at least 45 mins to an hour and number 45 or 55 in the queue. Once you are finally connected is that when you are told that you need to speak to the other department and since we are very busy at this time I will arrange a callback for you which never happens by the way. I bought cover from them on 14th March and have just cancelled it yesterday reason being that never received certificate of insurance which whenever I called them was told that will be sent via email shortly. Secondly they ask you to send you their driving license and counpterpart copy, after getting my driving license they sent me a note saying that based on the review we have increased your insurance premium by 154 pounds which was absurd as I had nothing wrong in either my driving history, address or any information that I had given them when I bought the cover. Lastly when I submitted the cancellation request I was told that cancellation fee of 50 pounds would apply and since I was paying monthly another 50 pounds would apply as credit arrangement cancellation fee. I should have never opted for them in the first place thinking that would end up saving 150 to 200 pounds. I paid 155 as the first installment and now they have replied back saying that all of that has been adjusted in various charges and the 16-17 day cover that I used and I have nothing due for refund so here goes the experience of trying to save something on car insurance by betting on GoSKippy.
  • I tried to postpone my not very cheap insurance and the friendly agent offered to cancel instead. That was nice I thought! She then said it would only cost me £20 plus a % of the 2 days I was covered. It then took another 2 days of emailing to get to talk to the cancellation and retention team. The guy there had now added on a further £50 which he was sure his manager could allow him to take off my bill!. I told him I expected a full cancellation and I would call the arbitrary ombudsman regarding their underhanded and unscrupulous trading practices and it would cost their company £60. He immediately said the cancellation would be free apart from the % of the 2 days I was covered. I got a full refund. :T :money:

The threat of the Ombudsman holds no fear for the Insurer as the Ombudsman is likely to agree that £50 is a fair charge for cancellation at your stage of the policy.

They have more likely agreed to waive the charge to save themselves the time dealing with your complaint
  • I took out a policy with Go Skippy on a cheap run around, I was using while my divorce is going through and the marital car was being used by my ex-wife.

I cancelled the policy after three months, when I was given back my married man car and received an email claiming £196 in cancellation charges from Leanne Bakehouse at Go Skippy.
Told them to go an skip off the side of a mountain.

Since when did cancelling a policy involve paying for the whole year's policy, when you've already sold the car??
