Has anyone had any trouble with Quidco paying out and how long does it normally take?
I have made purchases as far back as Nov and although now finally validated, show no signs of paying out. I have also had an Asda transaction declined, again anyone have experience of this, emails to Quidco get vague answers

    thanks

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, there doesn't seem to be one sub-forum for cashback questions/comments so hopefully this will be OK in here.

Thanks to this forum I have managed to make lots of savings over the past few months and one of the things I have done is to open accounts with both Topcashback and Quidco and I have made a few purchases through them. I note that I now have £40 or so due for payment on TCB and I am wondering which payment route to go down.

It looks to me as though setting up payment via BACS is the most straightforward option but just wondering slightly about the security of this, i.e. giving these providers my bank account details. Hopefully it is all considered to be perfectly OK but I'd welcome any feedback from MSE members on this, and whether it is considered more secure to run it via Paypal.

    Thanks in advance. :)

I have had a BACS payment from TCB no problems if that reassures you.

I used TCB in the past and managed to get a small payment quite quickly from them.

I used them again recently and have been deeply dissatisfied. I purchased insurance with the AA through them, with the lure of £30 cashback. That was at the end of April. TCB have 'confirmed' my cashback but it has never got to the 'payable' stage. I have emailed them asking how long I'll have to wait but I have had no reply.

Thankfully I saved some money as the insurance was less than my previous provider, but I don't have any faith in TCB and don't see the point of using them. It's just more trouble than it's worth.

Similar problems with TCB myself. For a while they seemed better than Quidco at dealing with problems, but that seems to have changed.

Poor, or non-existent responses, and a lot of problems with them now, I'm finding. One of these is advertising a cashback rate, which you rely on to make the transaction, and then paying out rather less.

As a result of receiving the moneysavingexpert email I signed up to O2 broadband through Quidco I think it was offering £90 cashback after 3 months. Thinking that three months had elapsed I contacted them only to find that I had to contact them within 16 weeks of signing up (10 Feb 2010) in order for them to try and trace it so now there is nothing they can do!

Mmmmm sounds to me like they could if they wished pay nothing out and then only pay when someone makes an enquiry whats the chances of doing that in a three week window? Sounds a little unfair too?

Almost certainly not - unless you can establish that they've acted fraudulently.

I have one major concern now with these sites see this message i've just posted on Quidco's forum thing:

"I've just got a message from quidco saying my cashback can't be paid because DGM has gone bump and providing a list of retailers through which payments have been affected.

Well, the cashback I had on my account neither related to DGM nor any of the retailers in the email - it related to the AA, and if the Automobile Association has gone bump i'd be amazed!

What's more gauling is not only all my cashback has been cancelled but I only chose to go with the AA due to the promotion quidco were offering, i had the option of a good deal with the RAC through another cashback site.

This has annoyed me intensely and the £60+ i have been due to receive over the last couple of months has just been swallowed by quidco... Plus there's no phone number that i can use to sort out this mess....

    Can anyone help?"

I've been due the not insignifacant amount of £63 for almost 3 months - having it shown as being recieved by quidco and marked as payable. I sent quidco a message about why it hasn't been paid and 2 months later get this !!!! n buill story from them...

I've never used a company on their list of retailers nor have a purchased through a company called DSG. Sounds like quidco has ripped me off tbh...

Can anyone shed any light on this?

it gets worse - they've also taken my equifax cashback, i think the original email relates to the £5 is I should have received back in Feb (but never did)!!!! now elevated to FSA as the the AA one related to breakdown cover INSURANCE - as they technically sell the link to the insurance they are regulated by the FSA for this.
