If you have a discount code to get money off something can you use Quidco / topcashback as well? I`m sure have read that its sometimes possible with topcashback. Has anyone been successful? I was thinking if you log into the site, input the code and it accepts the code then if you get the cash back as well its a bonus.

Hi,
I don't know why Martin promotes the topcashback website.
My experience with this company has been less than satisfactory.
I have waited, waited and waited for the cashback they promsie to be delivered into my bank account.
I bought car insurance for my elderly dad through this website - he thought it was great and it always cheered him up to ask if the cashback had arrived.
He died waiting for it.
I don't believe the cash will ever arrive.
I emailed them asking how long they consider acceptable for the cashback they promise to appear in a customer's bank account.
I asked if 2 months was acceptable, how about 3 months, what about a year, how about 2 years, 10 years? Never?
No reply - what a surprise !
This has been my experience with TopCashBack, make your own decision as to use them or not !0 -
I am a member of over 20 cashback sites & have done transactions on a few of them. I tend to use Topcashback now for all my purchasing as it is the one i trust the most & also offers the best cashback rates.Every purchase i have made so far has been tracked & cashback paid in due course.I have no dealings with wepromiseto so i can't vouch for how trustworthy they are.All i do know is that i have made purchases on a couple of sites who have apparently folded & lost out on my earnings as they haven't paid up.My only word of advice is use a site you trust, then you have the best chance of getting your cashback.
My experience and many other people's has been awful.0 -

I saw this post and recognised the effect of grief.
I am off work grieving for my father as well, for the way he died mostly, not the fact that he is dead so much, as death released him from the torture of dying painfully over 2 weeks from bowel and liver cancer, with the well meaning and mostly kind NHS staff trying to help, but being institutionally incapable of being anything less than incompetent, but that is another matter...
So I contacted TopCashBack to see what they could do to help you move on and this is what they said:
"Hi Phil,
Thanks for your e-mail.
I have reported this comment to MSE and asked if they can contact the member and ask them to e-mail me. (As our company account is unable to use the PM system on MSE)
It would be much appreciated if you decided to post an advisory comment below this, if not, no problems.
Cheers.
Adam"
Just in case MSE can not contact you, I am asking on behalf of TopCashBack (just as a member, nothing to do with staff, I am not employed by TopCashBack, unfortunately) to try sending them another contact message, or email.
Try the "Submit a General Enquiry/ Other/Unclassified submission (you need to be logged in I expect, for the link here to work).
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/account/enquiries/tickets/submit
Tell them about this forum post, and hopefully Adam can get back to you.
He is a very helpful member of TCB, so is Vicky.
I am guessing the merchant did not pay TCB, if their system actually tracked the transaction, but Adam can explain why they seem to have overlooked your requests for info and hopefully tell you what actually happened.
The fact they did not seem to respond puzzles me as well, it is unlike them, from my own experience.
If you did use email and not the site's contact form, then possibly the ISP blocked the email as "junk", some delete "junk" without even delivering it to the customer (TopCashBack in this case).
Let us all know how things develop.
Best of luck.

hi,
does anyone know if you get the 3% cashback via topcashback or quidco for the full total cost of your holiday with virgin or do you only get the cashback for certain costs of the holiday???0 -
I used quidco for the first time earlier to book accomodation with Low Cost Holidays and also to join AA. Both transactions seem to be tracking so I`m just keeping my fingers crossed. Its quite exciting really.0

I have joined Quidco and understand that you can click on certain retailers to earn 1 or 2p and check that your settings are all OK.
Could someone tell me the name of these retailer as I can't work it out.
Thanks0 -
I've used topcashback a lot and found them to be helpful. One retailer refuse to pay the cashback and refused to explain why. TCB offered me 50% out their own pocket which I thought was more than fair.
But what I wanted to mention was that firefox has a addon called cashback guardian. Whenever you visit a site it tells you if there are cashback offers for that site. A useful reminder.
My other tip is to use multiple browsers, they each have separate cookies. So browse with you favourite browser then when you know what you want to do switch browsers to use a cashback site.0 -
