Dear members
There is a quidco cashback of £30 for ordering a new phone through The Mobile Outlet through quidco site's link.
My question is if I use that link from my quidco account (which is in my name) to order a phone from my wife (including my wife's bank/ card details for the new phone), would I still be entitled for quidco cashback?
Or would I need to open another quidco account for my wife and order through her account? The thing is I would lose first £5 from her account as well here and there isn't anything else that I think she would order for the rest of year from her account.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
Cheers

Hi all, I'm new to this game so I apologise if I have posted in the wrong place. I have used Greasy Palm on a number of occasions and twice now they have not paid out saying the retailer had no record of the transaction, (yes the transaction tracking was working). Has anyone else experienced this problem with them? Specifically with £50 cash back from Direct Line home insurance (if the policy was bought before the end of May 07).
Thanks Delboy0 -
No you should be able to go through quidco and enter different bank details and names - I have done it for several things and they have all tracked and paid out - only thing I do conciously do is , if it asks for an e mail address for confirmation etc - add the one that is registered to quidco0

what have others' experiences of using a cashback site to access an online retailer AND THEN entering a voucher code? I did it once with john lewis - code worked but was refused cashback from Quidco. Is it best to just accept the higher of the 2 discounts and leave it at that?0

Does anyone use firefox for cashback daily clicks? I've been using opera and have found it does not track shopping.com or dealtime at all and strangely only 2 high street webs a day on whatever site I choose but only 2. Yet if I use IE7 it tracks ok. Its just I prefer a separate browser for safer use of saving passwords and IE is the main browser and I don't want to save passwords on that.
I just wondered if there were any problems with firefox before I download it?Thanx

I've been using firefox for almost a year and haven't had any problems with, I would recommend it:beer:Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.0 -
does quidico do the daily click through like rpoint seems to?
£2 Savers Club = £0

Anyone tried valuebond before? The only reason I mention is that with one of MSEs favourite sites, bargaincrazy.com, you get 5% back plus 2% to charity which is far better than most.
I've no affiliation apart from the fact I've just signed up to see what it's all about......

Im getting no replys to messages left at quidco concerning a query about cashback that never happened, its well over their 90day contact us rules but still no luck/answers, and to top it off i have had to open another query yesterday about another failed high paying cashback offer...does anyone know where i stand with this?, i cannot get them to answer as well as countless other people it would seem
Wouldnt be so bad but around £200 in savings is lost
Thanks all

It is worth noting that if you use a cashback site it is always best practice to clear your cookies first. Since quidco et al use cookies for tracking the purchase, the only way to ensure their cookie tracks your purchase is to make sure theirs is the only one stored.
For example, 2 days ago you visited John Lewis from a none cashback site, yet the link was an affiliate one, a cookie would be set then, and this cookie can be valid usually for 30 days, BUT a cookie can be set to expire in any number of days. Anyway, carrying on, today you visit John Lewis, but this time via quidco and then you discover that it has not tracked. WHY... well the cookie that was set 2 days ago has taken precedance over the one set by quidco and the guy with the site you visited 2 days ago earns the commission via the affiliate link on his own site.
The reason for cookies. In affiliate marketing a website owner can display ads and banners for a merchant, i.e. John Lewis. The visitor to the website owners page clicks through, but decides not to make a purchase there and then. 5 days later, the user visits John Lewis and the cookie is still valid, so the website owner makes a commission.
Hope that helps explain the reason for no tracking sometimes. Also, merchants at the affiliate networks dgm2, tradedoubler et al do not always confirm the purchases for a long time. It is only when a merchant confirms commission that cashback site owners can credit the money into your cashback account.
Why do I know all this... I own a cashback site.0
