Help with transferring old phone

    The phone number is in the sim ..so whichever phone the sim card is in the phone uses that phone number.

    If the phone is unlocked already then no problem passing the phone over.
    Even if the phone is locked to O2 you could use another 02 sim or even Tesco as that uses the O2 network etc but you wouldn't be able to use another network sim like Vodafone or EE without getting it unlocked

    i take it then I can take out a Tesco contract online and they send a new sim to put in the phone

    Yes you could ....the only other thing to consider is whether you get a decent signal where you want to use the phone

    ie theres no point in using O2 if you can't get a signal at home but can get a Vodafone one etc etc

    Well she has used the phone from here with 02, I have vodafone and another is Tesco so hopefully it wont be a problem.

    Should be ok then .....the iphone takes a micro sim so don't forget to order that type ;)
