the iphone4 was on O2 and relative has now got an iphone5 and is still on O2 with the same number. She does not know what she has to do now in order to give the phone to nephew.0

I was looking at Tesco at the moment. Is it 02 that will have locked the phone - sorry to sound a bit of a numpty but we don't know too much about it as you might have gathered0

Do you know if the phone is "locked" ...quite often a phone sold on a network plan such as O2 would be locked to that network ...however it may have been purchased unlocked already in which case no need to bother.
The Tesco sim should work in a O2 phone as far as I'm aware they use the O2 networkIt's not just about the money0 -
I don't think that the phone is locked. i know that my relative went a few days ago and bought the iphone 5 from carphone warehouse - she is now up and running with it using 02 and the same phone
number as the iphone 40
