I agree that we all make mistakes, but how disappointing for the buyer. I too agree with Soolin and Sunflower. I would of took this one on the chin and sent the item to the buyer regardless and put it down to a lesson to be learnt. (ie check and double check every listing before submitting) Me personally (and it's JMHO) I wouldn't of had the gall to email the buyer and say what the OP said..."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0

I must admit I'm as surprised as Hintza was about how easily you people fold in a crisis!
It's a MISTAKE - it's probably clearly a MISTAKE to the buyer too. They probably did the BIN knowing it was a risk and it might not be honoured. Jeezo, if online companies make pricing errors they are allowed to cancel orders without honouring the mistaken price. This is an independant private sale from an ebayer!! Cut her some slack!
Once again, the only advice worth following is - appeal to the buyers better nature, file the mutual NPB, forget about it.

I totally agree.
Everyone seems to come to the aid of the newbie bidder, and makes excuses for their mistakes.
What about the newbie seller ?.
If it's too good to be true... then it probably is a mistake.
Don't send it out. No discount. Tell them the price you should have put the item in at, if they want it, they can have it for that price. If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

gotta agree with the two posts above (see above and above above?)
the buyer is not losing out, the payment was refunded swiftly so no secret interest gaining like a major bank, the only thing i think you should have done differently is e-mailed the buyer first.
but if you get a neg, give a tit-for-tat neg, then propose to mutually withdraw the negs.Where the !!!! has the Shrug gone!
just doesn't cut it...:think::huh: and these don't come close0
