get in touch with buyer see if you can meet in middle say.

If by meet in the middle you mean negotiate a fee between 99p and £9.99, I definitely would NOT recommend that as that gives the buyer the potential to report you to ebay for trying to carry out a transaction outside of ebay/fee avoidance etc... you certainly don't want to get NRU'd for it! :D

Friendly email, file the mutual NPB dispute and problem solved.

Except they can report you to ebay anyway for being a non-performing seller ;)

And lets face it, if you were the buyer, why would you go down the mutual NPB route?

    Exactly!!

In my previous you would not be trading outside EBay you just need to adjust postage costs to reflect what you agree upon

But postage costs do not attract ebay fees. You would definately be completing the transaction outside of ebay regulations.

I read on another thread that if you get a neg feedback you can get it removed by replying to it with a url of a website then get someone to report it and e-bay have to remove it.

i think if the buyer has a sharp tongue u prob gona get a negative anyway - even if u let her hav it for the 99p (cos u hav messed her about)

and depends if you want to lose £9 for the "chance" of getting a positive

seeing as though u have already refunded and contacted her - i dont think u should back down or send the item

i am too soft and would just send the item for the 99p tho :p

I'm like sunflower and am a bit soft so would have just sent the item and taken the loss.

I sold a big Action man toy last year. it went dirt cheap at less than £3 and it wasn't until I checked the paypal payment that I realised i hadn't changed the p and p from the previous item I had listed. I ended up taking £1.10 for p and p and paying out over £5 which really hurt and meant overall I made a loss taking into account all the listing.FVFs and paypal fees.

Thank you all for your replies.

I haven`t heard anything from the Buyer yet, dreading checking my emails now !!

Although something ironic happenned this evening, when i bid and won an auction for 99p and then the seller emailed me to say that she had got it out of the loft and it was damaged... YEAH RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!

    Didn`t believe her for a second !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Ooo the irony !!
