The last 2 months were pretty busy for me at the beginning, really quiet mid month then really busy for the final few days, this week has been rubbish so far though! I'm up for renewal next week. Eek!

    Hm.

I wouldn't say the first two weeks were pretty busy for me but I suppose that depends on your definition of busy I guess.

From the sounds of it though it seems your experience is fairly similar to mine.

I might send them an email just to make sure it's a general lack of tasks rather than something specific to me.

And good luck with the renewal by the way.
  • There's no point hassling them with an e-mail, they don't control the tasks. The general lack of work currently is shared by all in our locale. It happens every so often.

Has anyone else had the well "run dry" recently?

It seems since I was renewed that I'm getting, at most, 3 hours a day. Overall I managed less than 50hrs last month.

In case anyone asks, I'm not restricted.

Everyone is the same at the moment. I've never known it to be so bad. Hoping other more experienced raters are right and it picks up.
  • I've got the big exam next week! Is it really hard? Any tips? I know not much detail can be given here :)
  • Can anyone tell me something about the tasks - I know you're restricted so I'll understand if you can't.

I've just done some stuff on UHRS which is rating web queries. You have to say if the web page matches the search engine query by answering 3 questions about how relevant/useful and accurate it is. Is this what Leapforce is like?

Hi, I would like to do some work from home as I am unable to work and was interested in Leapforce until I read the blurb from the link on page 1.

Basically I surf the web most days and am fairly literate but I do not:

    a) have a smartphone
    b) have a gmail account - yet
    c) use google play - see a)
    d) use google+
    e) have a degree
    f) have a facebook or twitter account

so, is there any point in my applying at all, or will they be more likely to dismiss my application without giving it serious consideration?

I would appreciate any replies, especially from people who have applied with similar shortcomings.

    Thanks

You do need a smartphone, that is essential. The google accounts can all be set up for free. Degree is not essential, but a good level of education is and you do need to be literate. Facebook and twitter accounts are also free to set up.

Perhaps borrow a smartphone for the application process, then you can buy one if you are successful.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you for your quick reply, Catwoman1975.

I didn't realise that you need a smartphone to apply. It doesn't mention this in their list of requirements so I thought the application and exam would be carried out by computer and I could look into getting a phone IF I was successful.

Not sure if I can borrow a smartphone but I will try if I need one for the application process.
  • One of the conditions on the application page:

"Use of an Android phone version 4.1 or higher, Windows phone version 8.1 or higher, or an iPhone version 4s or higher."
