You will not get fired for one unacceptable review, you are given the chance to improve. Many many raters (myself included) have come back from a bad review so don't panic. Study the guidelines and take it slowly and you will get better.

I applied for a web search evaluator position a few days ago. How long does it take them to evaluate my application and accept/reject me?

it takes about 4 days or a week as maximum to get their acceptence.
  • I applied today for LF and had to take a 15 question test. then I got this reply:

"We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those under consideration will be contacted. Please continue to monitor our website and apply for additional opportunities for which you are qualified and may be of interest to you. You will only receive a future email from us if your qualification package has been reviewed and is under consideration.

We are unable to provide feedback or support via email regarding your application status. For all other inquiries, please feel free to contact us at Leapforce Agent Qualification .

Good luck and we look forward to working with you in the future!"

A bit cryptic. generic response or rejection?
  • Can anybody recommend a new/refurb laptop for around £200-£250? Never owned a laptop before, so have no clue what is/isn't good. Not expecting a super gaming machine for that price, just something pretty fast, that doesn't lag/freeze all the time (like my current PC seems to ).

    Thanks

Basically they are saying if we want you to proceed we will contact you, but we won't get in touch if we don't. Wait and see if they contact you with test details.

To the lady who got a bad review I did I think on my second month and 19 months later I am still with LF so don't worry too much about it.

  • Hi, I'm looking into joining Leapforce and I've got a couple of questions. I know that employees have to sign a non-disclosure agreement so if I'm asking stuff you can't discuss I apologise.

    1) Realistically, how much work is there available? I'm not looking for 40hpw, I already know that's not achievable in this country. Is 10hpw easy to get?

    2) How flexible do you need to be for time? Do you need to be near a computer and drop everything when a job comes up? I've got a baby and I'd be looking to work evenings and nap times mostly, perhaps some times when my partner is around too, but I wouldn't be able to just pick up the laptop any old time and do the work when it pops up.

    3) The current UK advert asks for a high Google presence. Google regularly with history turned on - I do that. Use Google Play regularly, that's fine. Use Google+ once a month and have 11+ people in each circle - this is where I fall down. I have had Google+ for ages but never used it, I've started posting and sharing links but I only have one friend on it, it's never taken off in my social circle. How important is this bit going to be, any guesses?

    4) Do I need to move quickly with the advertised job? I've seen it up for a couple of weeks now while I've been deliberating over it. If it gets taken down, is it likely they'll advertise again soon in the near future or would I be waiting ages for the next job in the UK?

Sorry for all the questions, doing this job will affect my tax credits you see, so I'd like to make as informed a decision as I can before committing.
  • 1) 40hpw is possible, I do it most months (and I don't work overnight hours, like some do). Depends how much time you have to dedicate to it during daylight hours. There are tools to alert you when there's work, so you don't necessarily have to sit at the computer all day waiting. Certainly most people do 10-20hpw without much of a struggle. You're limited at first, so don't expect mega hours in your first month.

    2) You basically have to do the work when it shows up. It's not mega flexible for us in the UK. Some work comes and goes quickly, other stuff sticks around for longer. You can't really tell until you do it for a while.

    3) I've never used Google+, don't think it makes any difference at all. In fact, I use a work account for my profile so there's only work usage on it, rather than my personal Googling.

    4) They're pretty much always hiring, but no harm in applying while it's there.
