Just filled in the application form here. I'm quite hopeful as I do tons of internet research for my present contracts so fingers crossed I get somewhere with this...:D
  • Hey all,

I started rating this week and I am so slow, I'm actually worried about how slow I am, I don't want my productivity to look really bad but I also don't want to rush and do a bad job! I'm guessing LF make allowances for people being slow to start with, right?

Most people are slow to start with, quality is more important and speed will come with time. As long as you don't bill for more time than you are allowed and they can see you are getting quicker then I cannot see it would be too much of a problem.

Focus on quality, got ya. Might spend some time time working on the similations I think!

So bill for the AET? Do LF track how long you're signed in for on the toolbar thing? So if I bill for a different time to time actually worked (i.e. bill under) will they still know that I actually worked for longer? And is still accounted for in productivity? (Sorry, loads of questions. I'm really paranoid about not doing the right thing!)

You can bill for the time you worked, even if you have gone a bit slow, as long as it averages out by the end of the month. If you find your total time is more than the total AET at the end of the month you can shave some off your invoice before you submit. The best place to ask questions is chat as there are limits to what can be said on an open forum because of the NDA and there are lots of helpful resources on the site that we are not allowed to link to on here.

Thank you. I'll note down questions I think of and head over to chat :)

The start of last week was great but this week's been awful! Hope this weekend will be good but not sure if it would be affected by being Easter?

Weekdays used to be better than weekends in my experience, which suited me as I have other commitments at the weekends. Now it seems to be the other way around.

Last week was poor, this week virtually non existent.
  • This week has been poor, only 5 hours for me, but fortunately I have been occupied with a transcription job. There was constant work at the start of the month too.
