The start of last week was great but this week's been awful! Hope this weekend will be good but not sure if it would be affected by being Easter?

Easter isn't a public holiday in the US.

6 hours 46 for me this week. Fridays and Saturdays have been the best of late, so hoping to get closer to 15 by the end of the week.

    Hi,
I am currently working for lionbridge but my 11 month contract will be up at the end of next month. I have been looking at alternatives and plan to apply for leapforce. I know some people do move from LB to LF but I was wondering if anyone here done this just after their LB contract ended and if so, how long the waited to apply? Id like to try qualify as soon as possible for LF but know I cant while still working LB, but wasn't sure if i try say a week or few weeks after the contract ends if this would be a problem. So did anyone apply immediately after leaving LB?
    Thanks
  • Hi sillymeme

In March last year I applied to LF just after my LB contract ended. I was open about this, and they made me wait until April to proceed to taking the exam - I was copied into an email which said words to the effect of ..this rater was roated out of LB please wait until April to test.

I think it's wiser to be honest about your previous LB experience as I suspect the main client has ways of knowing who's been a rater.

I used the same email address, but a different password to access the LF portal - I think people on this thread who tried to use the same ones as they'd used for LB ran into difficulties.

Good luck if you do decide to apply - it's the same work, but the support systems are different. I have to say they're inproving for us UK raters, but the main thrust is for US raters.

Thanks - good to hear you didnt need to wait too long. Im going on holiday a week after my contract ends so will leave it till afterwards and almost a month has passed. Hopefully they will want me....and I can pass the exams.....the extra income is very welcome!

  • EE on my first review for that type of task, just missed E even though I didn't have any misses.

The misses are stated in the right sided columns. You probably had 1 slight miss.

I know it stand out in bright yellow. I was just stating that I had 0 out of 7 misses.

I don't think the misses column on the left is working :-)
