Sharing bath water

  • Often me and Hubby will share a bath - this makes sense to me as it saves on water, bubble bath etc - does anyone else do this or would other people think it's a bit dirty? :o

Yes it does seem a bit dirty ... but you're married, so that's alright. :D
If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!

Hmmm... it's funny isn't it. I'm OK with the idea of a shared bath (assuming both are reasonably clean shower-once-a-day folk!) and if candlelit and with wine would think rather romantic.

But, eeeuw, I'm afraid I wouldn't get into a bath someone else had vacated!!

I know it makes no sense, but that's me!!!:rotfl:

We usually shower but if i do have a bath OH usually wants to get in at the same time - I certainly don't mind.

I predent we are in there together for eco reasons! hehehe

OH and I share a bath near on every day. He finishes work before me, so has his (in scalding water) then saves it for me when I finish. We both generally smell of lavender or what not! ;)

It IS romantic, sometimes we bother with the candles and the wine ;)

My OH will often get in the bath after I've finished. Although he does draw the line and have a fresh one if I've shaved my legs in there! He was used to a big rugby bath with lots of stinky men. I think (hope?) I'm a less sweaty alternative :D

We can't fit in together, he only just fits in alone! I'm scared we'll get wedged in and have to call the fire brigade :o

In Japan, all bathrooms are 'wet rooms' (i.e. tiled all over). You have a shower and wash thoroughly, rinse all the soap off and then sit in a small, deep tub filled up to the top and heated to 40 degrees. Everyone in a family will share the bath water cos everyone gets in clean.

There are lots of stories about confused westeners trying to wash in the hot baths....! It is very relaxing though.

We always used to have a shower every morning but last summer decided to save water and have a shower 3 times a week and wash in between, however since we have moved into the apartment we do not have a shower and as we are not allowed to have a water meter fitted and we can use as much hot water as we need.........we share a bath every night.........i get in first whilst OH does his 'little kitchen jobs' and then he gets in, we do not have it hot, just warm.............with lavender bath salts...........very relaxing........

My parents have always shared bathwater. My brother and I did when we were kids - sequentially, not at the same time  I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all. I mean, how dirty can one person get during the day!

    Share a bed don't you ?

I usually get a shower anyway, like others have said wouldn't mind if I was first in the queue. I occasonally jump in before the kids, who usually share a bath anyway.
One day I might be more organised...........
