Thanks all for your help
Very best of luck,Your first mistake was buying new, your second buying new from a dealer who saw you coming, and your third buying a new renault.0 -
I agree 100per cent with Stuart2988. It is so easy to use drivethedeal. None of the dealers we contacted could better their quote. We bought our last ford fiesta using them. Excellent service. Many years ago we used to go round all our local dealers haggling - no longer have to do this. You can still check you are getting the best deal my phoning your local dealers to check our their prices. Easy peasy!0

Watch channel 4 now on how to haggle for a new car!0

Any idea if there is a Scottish equivalent of drive the deal? They only seem to offer delivery in EnglandIf you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

Hi, last time I bought a new car I used https://www.happynewcar.co.UK - I got around £4000 of a £20000 car.
You won't get much of a new car from a main dealer unless they have bought a large number in with limited choice of specs at a bulk price.
If they have to order a car in with your individual spec. there's limited room for discounts.0 -
off topic - that C4 program on haggling...they went to a VW dealer and got a small discount, then went to a Ford dealer and got a big discount. I wonder why? Why didn't they go back to the same VW dealer?
Has the OP tried another renault dealer and see if they can offer a better price once they've done their research? Do you need brand new, or will pre-registered be ok?0 -
Fair to say that OP has had their pants severely pulled down - they will be lucky to get them up again0
