    RosyRed - so sorry x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Evening all,

rosy red so sorry to hear about Leo,hugs Hun x

Well another busy day and my first chance to post. Tea was kind of thrown together when I realised that DS2 GF was coming for tea. So we ended up with garlic and herb chicken, couscous roasted sweet potato and salad. Jools I'm another one who has made brownies for dessert, they were delish:D
My DS2 also got the second job he went for:j:j:j I'm so proud of him. This was the one he really wanted so we are all really pleased. They had eight jobs and have been interviewing since last week and only filled two positions so he did really well. A good starting salary, paid training and excellent benefits, also it's slap bang in the middle of the City Centre which is perfect for him:j
My dh has been making plans for valentines as well. He is cooking tomorrow night, I've also had a couple of bunches of tulips which are my absolute favourites and we will watch a rom com of my choice and share a cheap bottle of wine. All very cheap and cheerful but lovely.;)
Have had a good few sales on eBay as well today so need to pack them up. My plans for this evening are to fill up my new picture frames, the ones that all link together, while the boys scream at the football.
    Have a good evening all J x

    Evening All

Rosyred - Big hugs to you.

Halight - Hope the postman makes it tomorrow without doing himself an injury!

Woke up to snow today and it carried on till lunchtime then turned to rain. The roads are horrendous. Spent about an hour outside when I got home trying to clear some of the gutters, the snow had blocked them all and the water is running right over the top. To say my hands were cold was an understatement!

WM on with our work stuff in, it will dry overnight on the airers. Made massive venison burgers for tea with the last of the venison we were given and they were delicious.

    Take care. XX
  • Evening all :)

Rosyred - big hugs to you, it's never easy losing one of the family xx

Hugs also to Molly and BB x

Well a manic few days at work - boss has gone into serious panic mode because I am off for a whole two days!! 7 tapes dictated today (I'm a legal secretary) and bound to be that again tomorrow, joy

Still have to pack, OH was supposed to sort out what he wants to take for me to pack but he's currently snoring on the sofa :rotfl:

It's our anniversary tomorrow (4 years, how did that happen?!) but not doing anything as he's on call again, but he has asked if I would make my chilli for him as he goes mad for that bless him. My friend has made me a card for him - I do make them for Christmas but she is amazing and hopefully getting a business from it. We're not doing any presents this year - well that's what I've been told - our weekend away is our treat to ourselves. We've booked it through the Mirror deal so an absolute bargain, plus I had a 20% discount off the ferry too :money:

OS wise trying to tidy and finish all the washing before we go, and do the chilli, though looking at the time it may have to wait until tomorrow.

Good news - I have my iphone back, well a replacement as obviously O2 decided it wasn't worth repairing. All done within 4 days including the weekend so very pleased :T

Hope everyone is ok and not suffering too much with the weather, did snow here earlier but just raining and wind now.

    xx

  • Hi chums just popped in to say I had a super day out with DD only thing I bought was a t.v. magazine but she shopped for England as its DGS Jack's 13th birthday on 24th of this month
She got her nails done which she was pleased about and then she treated me to lunch out which was lovely bless her.We picked the boys up from school this afternoon and she insisted I stay to dinner tonight so I have just got home full of her delicious roast chicken with all the trimmings.Stuck to my guns though and wouldn't have a pud even though it was a favourite of mine .Roll on Easter :):)
My bulider has made great strides whilst I was out and the whole of the hall, stairs and landing is stripped so painting the doorframes will start tomorrow I expect

RR so to hear about you dog ,I haven't got one but I know how upsetting it is to lose a pet.both my DDs have had and lost their dogs over the years and my eldest still mourns for her Lab even though he went 11 years ago,( he was a daft old thing and everyone missed him)

I'm just off to have a hot drink now and then maybe a wee bit of t.v. while I knit for awhile
Good night, God bless all here

    Sorry to hear about Leo.

Just watched the Brain Tumour program. So pleased the little guy came through the op with no paralysis. Let's hope the chemo sorts him.

Just hoping Halight you have not gone into debt buying cards and stamps for us all :D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: especially the stamps for out here ;)

Sorry you have had snow again, it has been nice here. Spoke to Jayward on Skype this p.m. She showed me the snow through her window, I reciprocated with a yellow thing in the sky!

Nothing organised yet for tomorrow, but may go to the local bar where live music is on.

((Hugs)), Spoons, all round, take care everyone, night night. DG
