    Afternoon all!
    GO AWAY SNOW!!!!!!!
Had to go to meet the financial advisor this morning, had more snow up my sleeves than on the ground clearing the car!
Chicken, chorizo and bean stew simmering away, house smells yum! I am supposed to meet an old work colleague tonight in the city centre for a drink and a blether, she moved away but is in Glasgow for a conference or something, so am praying for a rapid improvement in the weather.
DD has just arrived in with a few items to bake brownies, she has enough flour to bake for the street! No doubt these are meant to impress the BF who is coming for dinner tonight and no doubt staying over so he can give her her birthday gifts in the morning before he goes to work, then come back and take her out! They might not go anywhere apparently, a he has the day off on Friday and "valentines day is a con!", that will explain the tiny card about bottom burps she has for him, young love!
Oh well, better stir the dinner then iron something to wear tonight!
    RIP Iain

Well! My goods arrived safe & sound :) 6 items though grrr! Hopefully the credit for these will go back on my credit card.
Considering the price was much cheapness, the stuff is actually quite decent so it's all good.

The rain is on now which is a bit pants & snow is rapidly turning to slush, not so good.

Am off now to take something out of the freezer (home made not ready made!) for dinner. Didn't get round to baking today but will definitely do so tomorrow.

    Hi all.

Not been able to get on here for a few days owing to the extreme manic-ness (manicticity?) chez manse. Fast day today so no cooking, and I don't have to go out all day, although the Rev has been ricocheting around the Island in her dog collar, so I suppose she has been working.

Golly it's cold. I thought it was supposed to be milder but it doesn't feel like it. Also damp and dismal, so glad to be able to stay in.

Have been trying to sew up a cardigan I've knitted for Mia. It has raglan sleeves and I started well by sewing 2 sleeves together. Unpicked. Next sewed the front to the back. Unpicked. Finally managed to get back, sleeves and front in the right places.. Fed up with it by that time so threw the lot back into the basket. Love knitting, hate sewing up.

The British Heart people have left me a nice plastic bag which they will collect on Friday. Cue massive decluttering session. I love it when they leave their sacks, it really concentrates my mind. One time when I had filled the sack to the brim the collectors actually knocked on the door to thank me. Nice folk!

    Keep warm all.

    Evening all,

Its been snowing most of the day here but i think its turned to rain now.
Thanks for all the well wishes for Leo.Unfortunately he seemed to deteriorate quickly overnight, and as he hadnt eaten much for days was pretty weak.He did want to go out for a walk this morning but he was tired and his heart wasnt in it,so we rang the vet when I got back in,and she put our big beautiful boy very peacefully to sleep.:(

TTFTM-our previous dog just fell asleep, but we were at work when it happened so it was an awful shock. At least this way we were with Leo and got to say goodbye and hold him, though it's hard to do at the time. (((hugs))) didnt mean to upset you.

We just had pizza for tea, none of us could be bothered really, and DS2 has gone up to DFs,clutching a very large bouquet for tomorrow:love::smileyhea :)DS1 gone to watch footie at his mates house.

Think tomorrow I'll need to do some shopping -hardly been out for a week wanting to stay with my boy :o Hope the rain washes the snow away.

Jools-hope you get to your night out and the weather doesnt kibosh your plans.

Just seen what Martins saying about o2,we're all with them

    Evening all:j:j

Well My wife and I went out shopping to the local town center to do a bit of shopping. Aldi was quite busy but not as bad as Iv been seeing it lately on a Saturday,

Just before we went out the snow had started to come down quite hard. But By the time we got into the town center the wind had picked up quite a bit, Well In truth it was like a gale! The snow was coming down in big limps, hard and fast.
None of it stuck But we the same as everyone else ended up very Cold and wet.
Then to top it all off we when't to pick the Girls up from school. The rain had turned to snow the wind was still high too.

So the four of us ended up cold and wet, again for my wife and I.

We got back In the house and did the girls a nice warm mug of hot chocolate to warm them up.

Pizza and pancakes for dinner tonight. Not Very healthy !
    But very nice!

Well I hope that you all enjoy your evening.

    Enjoy:j:j

Oh RosyRed, I am so sorry about Leo but yes I agree about you being there to hold him and say goodbye.

Love and hugs to you and your family and wishing you the happiest memories of a big beautiful doggy friend.
