  • With Talk Talk you can only record the Freeview channels. Anything supplied via one of their "Boosts" isn't recordable.

    Just so you know.

Thank's, it was just to watch old shows, my boyfriend has a mancave in our new flat and rather then him having to plug his laptop I want to watch old she's I love like brasseye, old cutting edge's and Gordon ramsey episodes. I'm going to be spending the next couple of years saving for a mortgage so making sure the nest is well equipped lol.

Enjoy your YouView box, you could have bought it outright for £230 with no need to take up a long term contract with Talk Talk.

Thanks but I needed broadband and the phone as well, I might get a youview box from richer sounds for the bedroom though.

All of the streamed On Demand services are limited to 7 days as standard, only selected programmes are selected for a series presentation, but there is too much out there for VM to record and store on the off chance tat someone will want to see Ep 1 of a series.

CH4 have enough channels to represent these series very quickly, as do BBC and ITV. If it is something you really really want - tell TiVo and it will record it and you can view it for as long as you want. There is no mis-selling, and whilst it may be a disappointment - is not a valid reason to cancel.

Too late, the OP already cancelled within the 28 day cooling off period.:p
As you say, the other providers (including Sky when they actually offer 4OD) all offer a trimmed down Catch Up service compared to that available online.

Youview has the same content as the online 4od.

I think my Xbox has the full fat 4od, when watching catch up it will offer the previous series to watch in full

Yes, so does a Playstation 3. It's because it has to directly access the internet in order to offer the services.
