a great little buy that you can fix with a knife and fork

Seriously? How do you replace the wishbone with just a knife and fork then? Please do tell as I had to invest in quite a few tools for that job.

They ARE reliable cars and they do tend to keep going forever BUT the rust / rot creeps up very quickly and makes them pretty unsafe in the event of a collision. Granted engine and box wise they'd put a volvo through its paces but the volvo would still be a solid car when the Ka is a pile of rust.

I mean.. the rust is so bad that you'll loose half of the cars scrap value as the rust drops off on the road while driving :rotfl:

No seriously, for £100, you've got a bargain. Take it and either drive it or scrap it / dismantle it for parts. Even on ebay you'd probably get £2-300 for it.

So basically what everyone else said then?

You're totally missing the point - and every other post subsequent to that comment!

Either sell it on immediately for profit OR drive until the MOT is up and scrap it.

I bought a £100 car 6 years ago, and I'm still driving it now, with an extra 40,000 miles on the clock.
Nice one! What car is that?

Probably one of those rare bargain cars that an old lady bought new and wanted rid of after a few years etc. It does happen. No idea how or why but it does lol.
  • I bought it :)

Not bad. Starts, runs, drives. Has the problems as listed in the original post. Alloys are after market alloys so will need a part worn or puncture fixed on one. Few rust bubbles and scratches put pretty solid. Huge folder with with all past MOT certs and invoices and stuff.

MOT runs until early July. Will make some money back when I sell it on. :D
