Debenhams Flowers - Valentines Day

Just a heads up folks,
Thinking I was doing good and ordering my wifes valentines day flowers in advance from Debenhams rather than leaving it last minute and picking some up from the local garage.
I ordered a set of valentines day flowers on the 5th February and paid the extra £4.99 for named day courier delivery which funnily enough was the 14th February for the flowers to be delivered to her place of work.
Imagine my surprise when I received a call from my wife this morning thanking me for her lovely flowers but I was two days early.
I could possibly see this as one off mistake but my colleague who I sit next to at work also ordered flowers for his partner at the same time as me also to be delivered on the 14th February.
Imagine his surprise when his partner phoned him to say thanks for her flowers but they were two days early.
The flowers were not sent by courier and instead just sent by normal Royal Mail.
I spoke with Debenhams and the person I spoke with was very apologetic and offered to refund my delivery charge and offered a discount on a future purchase but I declined the discount as I will not be ordering anything from them in future if they can't even get valentines day right.

Email a complaint through because the same thing may be happening to a lot of people and it isn't the same as getting it on Valentine's Day. At least the company should check existing orders and try to get it right for any not gone yet but in the process.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

The person I spoke to did say that she was going to speak with the dispatch manager to find out what went wrong.
I just hope that other people aren't going to be left disappointed.0 -
The Ceo's email address is michael.sharp@debenhams.com
It's obvious that they were for valentines day.

Thanks for that Steph
I emailed Debenhams earlier so will wait and see what they say.0 -
I've ordered two things off Debenhams.
The first wasn't delivered, and wasn't sent by tracked mail to see what went wrong, so I had to settle for a refund many weeks later.
The second order was cancelled within hours with no explanation. However I did get an email the next day saying 'thanks for signing up to our mailing list!' or words to that effect.
It would have to be an amazing deal to convince me to buy from Debenhams ever again, and even if it was, it would no doubt be cancelled by them anyway knowing them!0 -
I ordered flowers for my girlfriend yesterday before the 12pm cut off for delivery today. I recieved an order confirmation and tracking number but they haven't arrived. Shocking service from Debenhams.0

I ordered on 5 Feb and haven't received the flowers or any contact to inform me they would not be fulfilling the order.
