Two choices. Stop reading this forum. Or stop selling. You just aren't cut out for it.

Anyway, no reply to my message yet.
I'll let you know what happens, although i'm sure anyone with half a brain already knows.

We all had zero feedback once!

However, you're right to be a little suspicious - it's only natural given the value of the item.

Why not contact the bidder first and see what kind of response you get?

If you're still not happy you could cancel their bid and edit your listing to exclude bidders with no credit card on file. (do this in the seller preferences section towards the bottom of your listing in 'edit listing' mode) This usually weeds out the scammers.

When you do finally sell, you must post using Special Delivery and only to the address that PayPal tell you to post to.

    cheers by the way.
    I've contacted them.

You must be a scammers wet dream! haha.

Personally, i'd wait until the auction is nearly over and then just canel the auction. (unless you get a very encouraging reply from the buyer).
Until Ebay fixes it's problems, I'd stick with selling cheaper items that you don't mind getting scammed on

haha - or a ten year seller of mobile phones who doesn't get all girly over a hundred quid.
Special Delivery, to the registered paypal address, pocket the money.
    Or follow the above advice.

I'm sorry but I've obviously had a long day at work. I appear to be reading a thread where a seller doesn't actually seem to want bidders.

As for all the 'what if's' maybe the sky will fall in tomorrow...

What is the problem here? The item has sold but is not paid for and the OP has already written the full scam.

OP far easier to save us the misery and come back when you have an issue that needs discussing..like when you have scammed someone?

So your thinking is scam or be scammed?

Scam her back if she ever sells anything.
It's all I can suggest. It's the easiest thing in the world to scam a seller.
Something needs to happen to get teh brains at Ebay HQ thinking of a way to make it safe for everyone.

    thanks! :)

It wouldn't be the first time, but I've kind of learnt my lesson, hence this thread. If a someone registers and bids on your £100+ item within hours of registering, it's usually someone taking advantage of Ebays flaws.
I guess you just don't understand, so we'll agree to disagree?
(Not very Nice that you hope people get scammed though)

Well, the post of mine that you quoted was in response to someone who had just been scammed! lol

Yes and my point was to show what your 'mentality' is like. However, you have assisted in showing that quite helpfully.
