Can anyone suggest something that will let my pc pick up wireless internet. Something easy to install
Ignoring your phone problem... and if a 20m patch cable is not on, you should check that the wireless signal will reach your zoomstorm; do you know antbody with a laptop you could try; or this app on Android is good

If signal should be ok I'd get an internal card (assuming you're happy to fit it)rather than USB device.

Only the master socket and the wiring up to it is the responsibility of your line rental provider. All extensions and extension wiring are the responsibility of the owner or occupier.
If your machine is not wireless (simply look in Device Manager and post what it says there in the relvant section) you need either a USB wireless adapter or a wireless PCI card.

I know that. My pc seems to be running fine again today im downloading a file at 400kbs. No drop outs. The point is Sky was wanting me to take the sockets to bits get in an engineer and buy everything myself. I know there is nothing wrong with my equipment so why spend all this to satisfy them and get me a hefty bill. They will not listen when you tell them the problem is at their end. I understand they have to follow a script and procedure but why cant they just listen to what YOU say

Easily resolved by retesting from the master socket: if the problem remains then it's not a fault on your extensions. They should have asked you to do this basic stuff from the outset.
    Device Manager?

Greetings, can you post your router line statistics.

Your best solution may be to move your router to the Master socket and use a pair of network homeplugs, anyhoo first things first stats please.

So your PC is not wireless enabled. As I said, you need either a USB adapter or an internal PCI card to make it so.
But as penryhn points out, sticking to ethernet with a pair of Homeplugs may be a better option than wi-fi.
