Wireless pc???

The best option will be sticking to the existing phone extension so long as there is no bell wire. The wifi/ethernet patch/homeplugs is just a temporary bodge to eliminate an extension fault being the cause of the problem. Of course if it is then either fixing it or adopting one of the temporary solutions is the way forward. The cheapest bodge by far is the ethernet patch cable I linked to way way back in the thread. That assumes this is a hard wired extension and not a plugin one which are bad news (bell wire present and not usually twisted pair).0

The OP has a problem with dropouts and, no disrespect Silky you think the sockets are ok , and the bell wire is long gone have you checked filters and other possible points of failure. A good test is fire up a [long] download then ring home using a mobile and answer the phone see what happens4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Ive not gone through any of your advise simply because my pc is back to normal after a few days of drop outs. To be honest ive read all the answers and advise and its all to complicated. Now it seems ok, not sure why but I don't want to start to interfere with the router and pc. I think it was a fault on Skys part to be honest so im not going to buy stuff, or move my pc into the hallway or take sockets to bits unless I get the fault back. If this is the case I will soon be asking for help once more. All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -
Posting your router line stats would have given us a clue in the event of further problems. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
